But when you've got a player as out of form as Fonte, I think you cannot afford to keep him in the side. Martin has done his job well when called upon this season - no reason to suspect he wouldn't do so again.

I do think that if people are making idiots of themselves and those who are "on their side" (in this case Saints fans) actually made a point of telling them so at the time and in person, they would stand a better chance of growing up/changing their ways.

I said after the Reading game that we should have dropped Fonte for Martin, but despite his massive c*ck ups the majority of people responded telling me "you can't change the team around at such a vital stage of the season based on a few games form"...well when can you change it around then!? Hooiveld however has been outstanding.
