And then went absolutely beserk when Bent equalised in the last minute.

No-one said it would be weak, just weaker than their first choice.

Not at all. The first tactic used by the police when the riots started were to stand in a line behind shields and back away slowly when people didn't actually disperse. Whereas at football, they're more than happy to get stuck in. It's like you're a lower class of citizen for the period of time you attend a football match. -

Should be very interesting. Might look at heading over and writing it up on here. Particularly i'd like to ask questions with regards the policing at the Pompey game, and why I see batons being used freely in most clips of football violence whilst it took full-scale riots to break out in London before they were even considered. -
This is such simplistic thinking. Who would have thought 12 months ago that Dean Hammond would be performing the way he is in the NPC now? Fonte definitely has the potential to be a decent Prem CB, so we should give him that chance should we get there.
-
In fairness last season was probably a piece of p*ss for him, so he's taking a bit of time to adjust to actually playing against good strikers again.

A bit like Adel Taarabt without the temper tantrums

Dare I make a comparison to Tim Cahill in that respect? -
I may be wrong, but I thought that they started selling tickets for the next game after each game passes. E.G, if they sell tickets for the next 5 games then after the game V Watford tickets will be on sale up to the Hull City game. I may have completely imagined this though... You could always give the ticket office a bell; 0845 6889288

I doubt it. I reckon there'd easily be a lower NPC club or any in League 1 that would offer him a contract - obviously he'd have to take a wage cut, but it would still work out as more than a pay as you play deal if he can't get in the side.
-
He wouldn't accept a pay as you play deal.

Quite enough of the insults. Try to remember this isn't The Muppet Show; the first two words of the OP should be clear enough. -
What is Nigel's plan B for the winter...

There won't be any problem with pitches. At any rate, we didn't exactly struggle away on dodgy pitches last season. -
Some clarification re the United game last year

Seeing as you've had the clarification, I don't see any point in keeping this open. -

Think you're confused - i'm not having a dig at you. It seems Mitch Le Tissier is under the impression his brother was treated differently to the average fan in a negative way. -

Jesus. Yes, any ordinary person was allowed to buy as many tickets as they wanted...but MLT and MLT alone was restricted to one. *rolleyesthingy* -
Absolutely no chance of Hammond being dropped, and it's very unfair that people are so ready to dispense with him after one below-par performance in a game full of below-par performances.
-
Absolute rubbish. This place was teeming with people underwhelmed with Adkins joining.
-
This. Really starting to annoy me.
-
We've had/will have better results than this. Look at Newcastles results last season and you will find worse results than this, I guarantee it.
-
Considering you got the ticket for free, you could always walk out if it's brought up
-
You're going by league positions VERY early on in the season. It is also, at this stage, the equivalent of United drawing at Arsenal. Not such a bad result...
-
Forgive my confusion, but I do not understand this thinking in the slightest. If you want us to concentrate on the league then surely losing to Palace is the best bet? Personally I want to see the easiest tie available should we go through, as we do have an outside chance of winning the thing for once.
