Most players who come here have spoken about how the chairman has "sold me the vision of this club".

For the first time in years I might not be going tomorrow through choice. I honestly - and regrettably - cannot get motivated.

Who can you picture then? Personally I wouldn't have pictured Alan Pardew on the touchline before it actually was announced.

How do you know we ignored the chance? Maybe no-one was available who was good enough and wanted to sit in our reserves, and maybe get a chance on the bench every few weeks.

How is everyone feeling right now? Personally i'm not angry, sad, confused...I just feel completely flat. For once I actually had genuine optimism about the season ahead, and in just a couple of days it's been ripped away from me.
