Ah right, yeah been there. Yeah I just noticed the looks I get when I walk past an keep away. Dont they have a 24 hour licence? To be honest I hardly ever make it down that far. I'm still trying to hang on to my student days so don't get far out of North Hill.

Just off Mutley Plaine but offically I come under Lipson On the road. Area manager for Devon for my company Not heard of 'twigs'....Been to 'The wee clipper' on the Barbican, great selection of spirits. The Clipper on Union Street doesn't look the most inviting place though...

Well yes they are multinational companies, but they have large offices/HQ's in Southampton. When I said I thought it would be someone with a local connection, I still assumed it would be a larger company. Otherwise theres Mikes Chippy, Bitterne Hardware or Cloud Wine etc. Skandia have a massive office right in the heart of Soton and seem to get involved with the club as much as they can. Ikea have just built a flag ship store in the city centre that attacts 1000s from across the south every day Carnival have just built a massive head office right in the city centre P&O you mentioned Bacardi-Martini was based at the docks for decades and still have their head office in an SO post code. B&Q have their flagship HQ in Chandlers Ford HSBC have a big head office by the station but granted they have loads everywhere. Much like Barclays in Ocean Village Ordnance Survey have a big history with Southampton and still based here. DHL was pretty rubbish. They have an office at the docks but they have several offices in every city.

Exeter aren't a bad team. Not amazing individuals but a good hard working team. They have a lot of attributes that we will need to be aware of. We better win this one or I'm in for a ribbing when I go back home to Plymouth.

I still feel Brighton will fall away. Much like Cardiff do every year. The next 5 games are massive. That will be when teams pull away a bit and that will be our chance to be one of them.

He's had one or two good games, maybe he just needs to settle a bit more.

Don't drag your feet so much when walking

Can't believe the stick he's getting for this! Can't remember the last clanger he made. In fact what I can remember is him saving a point against Brighton, saving 2 points away to Sheff Weds etc. He's by far the best we could get for this level!!!

I'd rather have a younger bird who's enthusiastic and knows what she's doing.

Safe Standing Bill in Parliament - template letter now attached
Golden Balls replied to bungle's topic in The Saints
I would love safe standing to come in. Not only will the atmosphere improve massively, I think more people would be tempted to go to live games. The biggest thing I would enjoy is that when mates who don't have season tickets want to come to the game, they can stand with us and not be forced into a totally different part of the ground. As the post above points out, how can it be safe for some ground and not others? -
All very positive. Love the sound of looking to win the title when we get back to the PL. That would take a lot of building/money. Really just confirms that we are in safe hands and the next generation of being a Saints fan will be a hell of a lot more fun than the last 10 years or so. Would love to go to one of these dinners

Shame this thread got hijacked. Mrs Ellery is my grandmother as you may have seen on 1 or 2 other threads. My Granddad was my hero and this was his wish! He never wanted it to be a big public thing, just something to be there to remember his friends that died that day, on that site. And yes, all of them were Saints fans. SMS is a big part of Southampton, the blitz were a big part of Southamptons history, the Blitz killed 11 Saints fans exactly where SMS now stands, all he wanted was a small plaque somewhere just to remember his friends in a place where they were killed during a pivotal part of Southamptons history, where now stands a pivotal part of it's future. There was 7 years age gap between them. He was 15, a normal age to be working back then. This is true. My Grandfather wrote him a letter (in fact wrote him a few letters as it took a while to get any sort of aknowledgement) I also wrote him a letter. The response we got was to buy a brick as the club didn't want to pay for a plaque. My Grandfather replied offering to pay any costs but never heard anything back. I actually drafted a letter to Markus and Nicola in January but never got round to sending it. Unfortunately my Grandfather passed away, as did Markus. The BBC got wind of this story when asking my Grandmother to relay memories from 70 years ago. They went out of there way to make this happen, no one asked them to. Thank you BBC Solent, SFC, Nicola, and Kelvin Davis.

Those cheques get stopped in clearing, even if the cashier believes it to be dodgy in some way.
