  1. Surprising stuff.
  2. Have we not? I thought we did before they sent them back. True but for that to happen we'd need to be getting around 25k. If we get in and around 30k every week, the price will continue to creep up. I really really wish the club would take the lead on ticket prices and use a tiny fraction of the tv money to reduce prices. Anything near £40 for one ticket to one match is extortionate!
  3. We sold out once then City sent back tickets. Probably a few hundred left.
  4. How will you "let the club know"
  5. Love the bloke. Get him on a Pardew-eque 8 year contract ASAP.
  6. I was getting so frustrated at our crossing. Bertrand seems to do okay but the rest were terrible. Best cross of the night was from Fonte!! (I realise we scored from a cross but that fell to Clyne through luck rather than judgement) It wasn't just last night. Against QPR I noticed this too. Yet the few crosses in comparison we allowed from both Villa and QPR all seemed very dangerous and whipped. I'm not JWP's biggest fan. I don't think he adds enough to the game generally. But if we had him yesterday with the number of set pieces we had, he'd have caused them havoc.
  7. Always thought Lee Holmes looked decent when he came on. Just very rarely came on.
  8. Would say drop Mane after that performance against Villa but he might get more joy against a more attacking full back. He's clearly going to be a hit and miss player. Hope Davis is fit for this one.
  9. Can't get over how shocking our crosses and set pieces were.
  10. Yeah I forgot Ekelund too. Don't know how. I also tried some wrong ones like Danny Wallace (too soon), Fabrice Fernandes, Henri Camara and Michael Svensson.
  11. Said it before. I'd love to have him back as he'd be great back up to Pelle while JRod is still injured, but why the hell would he swap Liverpools bench for ours? Going back isn't always bad. Robbie Fowler went back to Liverpool. Even if Rickie didn't play, he'd be a positive influence. Like Kelvin is. Anyway, won't happen. We've moved onwards and upwards.
  12. 24 for me. Quite pleased as I don't think I'd ever have thought of the ones I missed. Although thanks to Let's B Ave, I'd probably never have thought of Ramirez if I didn't see your post.
  13. Been very impressed with him so far. Target is a great back up too. He's in the right place here. First team football, right style of play and a good window for international call ups. He has a lot of competition at LB for England but his name is already getting mentioned. I give it a year and he'll be there. Gibbs will fade away again, Shaw will continue to get injured and then it's just him and Baines.
  14. What a brilliant result. Hopefully just about puts them out of reach for top 4. No idea why he took Lallana off.
  15. Can see that being 40/1 if we win Monday.
  16. Phwor. They're 3-0 up to the mighty Morecambe. No doubt this means that they'll walk the rest of the league. Love it when they get a bit of false hope. Just means that Awful Andy won't get the boot and can drag them down further.
  17. I'm probably one of the few who thinks Chelsea winning is a good thing. If they run away with it then the other teams you'd expect to go for the title might slack off a bit. Harder to get up for games when there's not much to play for.
  18. Steve Hughes sums it up nicely
  19. What annoys me the most is masses of people complaining about being offended on behalf of people who might be offended.
  20. Will be closing in on a year before he even kicks a ball in a competitive game since his injury. That's a really long time to not play. Will take time to get back anywhere close to the form he was in before. His pace was a major strength and could be seriously affected.
  21. Noooooooooooo
  22. I'm currently saving for a deposit on a house with the missus. If Saints get to Europe, we'll be saving for a lot longer. That's said, at the beginning of the season I put £5 for Saints to finish top 4, £5 on the league cup and £5 on the FA Cup. Win all those bets and I won't have to save.
  23. That's it. If we win he'll pretend he didn't predict a loss, might go so far to patronisingly say "oh they've surprised everyone" but if we did lose it's a way for him to say "I told you so".
  24. Absolutely not! They still gloat and are far from humble. There are the odd few that will agree that the risk they took for the cup and 8th in the PL wasn't worth it. But still a huge chunk will not see it that way, so they need to sink further. Only when.... - they are relegated to the non-league - Fratton Park is sold for housing development - they get relocated (Coventry style) for a season or 2 - They realise they're shares are worthless - Eastleigh beat them in a competitive match Only then will they have suffered enough for me. Then they can begin their SLOW climb back to being a L2 side where hopefully they'll get all excited about a final in the JPT and lose to Luton. Then draw us in the cup and we absolutely spank them. Then this thread can be locked.
  25. Shame. We'd have been able to put 10 past them.
