Bearsy's STD trip to Ibiza 2013 - your photos
dubai_phil replied to Tokyo-Saint's topic in The Muppet Show
News just in. Bearsy went with a mate Simon (too pikey to afford a single room supplement) Anyways said Mr Smith just posted vid of the Bear leaving the Disco (he can't afford Club prices) this morning -
Why? Torres is a proven CL level striker. He may be pretty sh1t at PL level but next level up he did a fine job for Chelsea. Ba & Lukaku are PL standard strikers. They are NOT CL level strikers. JM doesn't need a Rooney or Suarez to be able to do the first job of winning the PL and if it was ONLY that which he is judged against then he would let Torres go. But JM could win the PL by a mile but if he gets knocked out in the group stages of the CL he would be in trouble. JM needs BETTER than Ba or Lukaku are or he needs two sets of strikers

The Nathaniel Clyne v Morgan Schneiderlin charity golf match

Of course they do, I get almost 400 PM's a day begging for them -
Oh good grief. And we're supposed to have the best Coaching in the world? Pete Cowan & Sean Foley would turn in their graves if they weren't alive still. That grip, the shoulder position, the hips driving through the ball, that footwear I'm gonna have to give my mate a call and get him down there to give the boys some proper lessons (Where's St Will when we need him as well)

They can hit an Iron 280-300 yards. Their problems if they take a driver will be running out of / off the fairways. Think a lot of players will be doing this. Stenson hardly used his in the Scottish Open until the last few holes & his round fell to pieces. Tiger won at Holiake and only hit one Driver all week, press stuff shows he is planning the same. Drivers will probably only come out if it gets very windy. Leftie has history against him, nobody has ever won the Open after winning The Scottish Open - Kinda like the par 3 curse at Augusta. Looking forward to it, will be a great weekend flicking between the golf & the Cricket from Lords

Yah hay THAT's more like it. I'm getting me some of that for my Birthday present in October. I'm hard at training for the event and You Tubing every night so I don't get left behind

Ah, a poster is now exhibiting the same signs he exhibit when he got ganged up on and outed for being a (insert 4 letter word of choice here). He deserves a ban simply for invading TMS and making me read that stuff instead of working on the story of Paul Casey & why he has an Airplane Hangar at his house instead of a Garage. Tim. ^like, made I larf

Did you know... Marshalling of the fans at The British Open is assigned to individual Golf Clubs around the country, They are then allocated one hole to Marshall. So the volunteers spend 5 days (inc pro-am) in the same spot. An un-named genius pointed out that the lack of continuity in the close support of the players can arise in issues and the European Tour subsequently introduced roving senior Marshalls to stay with the "Big Name" groups. The un-named genius was paid his body weight in Heineken and was extremely happy with that deal.

Am I the only one on here who thinks we must have hacked all of Liverpool FC's IT systems & Emails? They ID a prospect, someone must send a report and woosh the player is linked with us!

Yeah ex pats rule the world and an ex pat mod is gonna be the bees knees. Plus he'll be having the time of his life at the moment with the Lions & The Ashes. Would almost be an honour to be served notice by him

Wouldn't put any money on Tiger or Leftie, but think the latter will give a good showing. It looks as if it will be all about staying out of the rough. Brandon Grace should show well, is returning to form, think too many of the Brits have been on the beach this year and not played enough golf in the run up - Westie, Rory and to an extent Rose. Taking a look at Driving Accuracy then the names in the top 20 worth looking out for are GMac & Molinari Sneaking suspicion that GMac or Casey could actually win it real outsider? Joost Luiten if his short game hangs together in the pressure cooker. Yeah I'll take GMac & Joost each way

Actually I am ITK here (FINALLY!) Chalet is not in fact Invisible. He actually has hair and everything. He is also a very nice guy and did not even talk about Golf when we were lucky enough to meet up at the Recycled Horsemeat Burger Van outside the Chapel not so long ago. Personally I think he must be paid a couple of extra Popadoms or maybe EVEN he's allowed a Pint of Kingfisher on expenses at Curry Night in order to adopt this Neo-BadMod persona

TO be fair though. When have Chelsea under Roman EVER worried about "in a few years" Their managers are lucky to last 18 months. JM will not be interested or worried about a player who MIGHT be good he will be buying CONSISTENCY at the highest level. They play around 60 games a year. He needs another striker to share the load (that's 30 starts EACH) with Torres, that leaves Ba & Lukaku as his back ups for the season... Are either of those players good enough to win the PL AND the CL for him THIS year IF one of Torres or new signing get crocked? I doubt it and I would expect him to try and sign better than he has. At the moment he still needs a number one, but I would expect him to be looking for better. Would not be surprised to see this as a "End of Window" deal when he has found out IF he can get 2 strikers in

Just wanted to revisit this and say + 1 rep points to Bananaman for starting this thread. Without him would never have learnt about Sharknado, which NOW appears to be the main topic of conversation in the pubs down here and on FB & Twitter. Good shout.

Well this would be a good time to do the needful and what Saint Armstrong has so eloquently stated. Let the spoilers have an early summer vacation for a week or two. Still think this is a possible deal. And we could sign Banega as well

Lukaku is potential. The other targets have proven themselves at their club & International level Lukaku fits our profile, however I would still see SRL as first choice at the start of the season whereas with Real Diamond I wouldn't. Torres on the other hand would fit our style of play, and away from the pressure of challenging for the title would be less of an unknown and with the right support could go back to his Liverpool form. He does not of course fit our profile and his wages would be an issue. Tough call between them, glad I'm not a member of the transfer committee. But FFS just making a bid for Lukaku. Dreamland, but I won't go all Corp Ho & Riquelme on it.

Hmmm. Sorry. We travelled on up to Sapporo where we had a massive party after beating the Argies (& Wayne Bridge came on as sub) Our flight was the following day so we had to move from the City Centre hotel by train to a second hotel. It was a Golf resort hotel. I didn't have my clubs/trainers or Golf Shorts.
