  1. Wow. Just sensational. I've never given a 20 out of 10 in a Motm poll and will not start today, Kelvin gets 21. What a dreadful yet magnificent performance. 6 Saints fans in the pub - a record & found 2 more later lying breathless in a gutter. EoA has to go & do a night shift and was totally spent BEFORE he started. Around 10 Leeds locals in the Pub needing medication for shock at the end. Thoughts? Puncheon really is a disaster starting at LM - clearly we have no cover for AL. JP at least looked like a footballer when he switched to the right. Great effort by Chaplow to stem the tide, some fantastic tackles/nicks nudges from MS. Can understand why NA brought on Guly, nearly cost us but today no criticism of any of them. Heroes across the pitch. That game was won by Heart & Guts and one piece of astonishing skill from Rickie. Wow. That meant a lot today. We've done to teams what Leeds did to us in the past two years and like Leeds we got Sod all. Karma is a ***** but when it is on your side. I'll take it. Kelvin Davis. Astonishing
  2. There have been many Pythonesque moments on this thread but thanks to Duckhunter in The Lounge, just realised they already made a movie about them All You need is Cash http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Fu3T_2GzXSo
  3. This lot are appealing to my warped sense of humour at the moment Givemeister Lady Gaga?? Or maybe 9 million bicycles in Beijing He seems to be a serious Dutch "singer" but we did ROFL at the start to Bad Romance
  4. Ah a target for my next trip home nice one Recall at the time this being "confused" due to it hoping it was the next incarnation of Monty Python
  5. Good idea, the pastry on the top of their mega Steak & Ale pies can be really tough to cut through
  6. Oh dear. Amateurs. At least get a Marketing Expert to look at this sort of nonsense before you make yourselves look stupid Should do a Dickens re-write bit tbh it takes the p1ss itself so not worth the effort
  7. Think that is probably a good idea.
  8. FYI it is on Al Jazeera Sport this evening. So any Saints fans down this way - we are heading to GoodFellas 2 at Ramee Rose tecom to watch. Also, last time on JSC there was some ecellent stream mad something or other one of the best quality streams we have had
  9. How interesting, that behind the scenes Saints Legend in all of their demise was the name linked with the SA Mining Consortium last time. So nothing will change then. Still the same characters. Page 5000 awaits us
  10. Sounds like the troll's great white hope from about 3 takeovers ago. South African Mining Interests. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/south-african-gold-mining-company-move-portsmouth-210272 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1084692/Portsmouth-set-randy-strike-gold-South-African-takeover.html Pretty sure he was named but Gawd knows what page it was on. Crabby? Have you finished your editing of this yet? We need to find this one out and also find out why it did not happen last time. I am sure there was something not quite right about them back then
  11. Reading that, I start to wonder whether Chinny may be right. PKF carried out the advice to CSI when they bought the club. CSI is in admin, but one area they could "earn funds" would be a legal battle for damages IF it turns out that PKF were negligent in that advice. Get the club Liquidated as asap and move on, cover backsides, make specific public utterances. Interesting new angle
  12. Been a strange few days. To see what you have sensed would be likely to happen for so long start to appear before your own eyes is a bit of a shock. But not as shocking to discover that not only is a PTS stalwart now stalking celebs, he's also now not only mentioning but actually QUOTING Golf. So. time for a reality check. Dear uber googlers, go find the L1 table Then list the clubs by Stadium Capacity Then list them by %age of capacity filled Then, if you want to be precise then do a quick summary of their Infrastructure and the value of their playing squads. My bet? Someone in the top 10 in L1 will tick a lot of those boxes. Give their Chairman a quick call and ask them what percentage of their club you could buy for Let's start with 11mil shall we? Then, if it's a decent stadium (say Brammal lane or Hillsborough) maybe you could say 11mil for the Chairman and then 10 mil to invest in the team. Actually, why bother with L1? Just give Coventry a quick call It would save you at least 10mil on the cost of saving the phew
  13. Let us not write them off yet. As I noted eslewhere. Today is the day for seemingly lost causes to make a comeback. Englebert Humperdink has got your Eurovision slot
  14. Lol OK so these next 3 weeks we've gone gig nuts. Guetta this week, then Duran Duran Snow Patrol etc. Tucked in amongst them all we noticed a gig in a local 1500 seat theatre next week - Englebert in Concert. Thought wow, is he really still going? (Also thought Promoter must be mad going up against all those other acts) Anyway - open up the DT today to see you lot finally lost your marbles http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/9116370/Eurovision-surprise-Engelbert-Humperdinck-is-UK-entry.html Englebert is your Eurovision Entry Well, at least some of the judges might be old enough to have heard of him Go Humpy! Thoughts?
  15. That was so last owner DM, not sure that Joke has any mileage left in it. Chinny coming back in though? You can see the Open Top Bus Parade for him now as the phew change their mind for the 1,000th time and proclaim him The New Messiah. That should be good enough to keep this running to 2014.
  16. Mid Life crisis? Rubbish. Totally natural to change careers. Divorce the wife, get a younger fiancee, get closer to your Kids & mother, go backpacking in the Swat Valley and take a couple of holidays a year in Thailand. Strange thread
  17. Adkins HAS to go. No doubt about that. After all leaving us is a fast track to a job on the England Staff - Lawrie, Wigley, probably redkrapp. Clearly he needs to go so he can lead England to Victory in 2014
  18. Sometimes. I'm the luckiest guy alive living in this crazy town and away from Blighty. But then there are days like today when I realise how unlucky I am and how incredibly fortunate you lot are. yep I was able to buy Sherlock S1 & S2 on my last trip. How astonishingly good is that, and I had to wait AGES to see it. Damn you lucky buggers.
  19. Time for this then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELIM2_92d3w&feature=player_detailpage
  20. doh wrong Fred
  21. Jeez sorry I didn't mean US I meant a "Football Clubs in general" Sort of along with Liverpool saying "yeah we'll give you 50 quid for Magri.... Or in Appy talk (I bet The Scousers thought it was damned sensible!)
  22. Thing is Hypo, many on this thread showed / postulated that Sacha & Chinny had their hands on the Parachute Payments. The PL used the first set to pay the Football Creditors. Jeez we had a good hundred plus pages on this, the CLUB was never going to get it's hands on them was the consensus. Equally it was a pretty widely held belief that AA stage managed the last admin without a care or thought for the club, where even with the previous CVA it was an insolvent and an insane purchase. AA simply bought time to get as much of the PP's off the PL as he could for his client(s). Further "indications" that was all he ever intended were given when CSI came in and paid - NOTHING for the club. All Chinny wanted was the PP's AFTER Sacha had been paid back. CSI were perfect stooges, arrogant, never listened to any advice AND (according to allegations by the Lithunians) crooks without any money of their own so didn't actually CARE about money, only having a sexy Facebook page with people "liking them". Nobody apart from us nutjobs on here could have thought that was the plan, so no wonder TB is was in a "state of shock" when he came in and found - the cupboard full of UXB's dating back to the War in Angola. Think TB is beyond scare tactics, he's probably more panicked about finding any cash to suck out for his own fees and avoiding liabilities for PKF all of a sudden. Wanna buy Pearce? A loan fee of 50k would probably work this afternoon, he'll move for a guarantee of his 75% right now no doubt
  23. Now does this mean Sacha would no longer own the car park? IF that happens then they become slightly more attractive As a Property Development
  24. Wire we waiting Wire we waiting.....
  25. Yeah and while they are at it should loan out Lambert for not being up to the mark
