Radio SET Online. Polish radio. Don't understand a word they say. Playlist is limited. BUT they don't play any Hip Hop and only danceable RnB. Do get to hear some great stuff that never makes it onto UK radio (or stuff before it gets to you) Examples being Gotye & Ed Sheeran were getting airtime some months before they exploded over there. Down side is they were very late falling in love with Adele.... Love her to bits, but ot 4 times an hour

When I first came here we had Dubai 92FM. It was OK up until Friday evenings (our Sunday night) when it went all Rick Dees & then C&W - suicide radio. Then along came an upstart called Channel 4FM which played a real mix of music, had funny and entertaining DJ's with all the stupid phone ins (one had a kid smashing his parents Dinner Service). But then the Clones arrived, the ad revenues got split amongst more and more stations and so they all started to cut back, then with the recession the cut backs extended to the DJ's pay - basically now it is "Work for us for free, we are a marketing machine for your own Private Careers... So it has become absolute garbage, DJ's last a few months before realising that actually t here is no "Private Career" opportunity. The music choices have dumbed down - Virgin Radio (yep really) is just wannabe Homie music for the "local" kids and the rest? Hell it makes us pine for the likes of Spire FM & Solent. So the recession has really hurt "Commercial Radio" nobody pays for ads or any decent production work on them so you get the same garbage over and over and over. They have recently tried to get a Rock Station going (US style) trouble is that it is on the other side of a Mountain range on the East Coast so you need to stick 14 coat hangers on top of your car aerial and hope the wind is blowing the right way in order to hear Stairway to Heaven 6 times a day. You have no idea how good Beeb Radio actually is peeps (Oh we had one decent recent station - Coast FM. Then they got cut back to ribbons and now - ready for this? They just take a stream from.... Wave and stick their own "Coming Up next" ads over the ads & DJ's you hear in UK

Yeah. IF ONLY they had invested just a few pounds of their TV income to expand a stand to fit in more seats so that all the bestest fans ™ could get in to see the game

In other ramblings. TB this week has been like sticking your face to one of those nozzles in the bottom of an airplane luggage bin to get some fresh air when the person next to you has not washed for a month and has eaten Garlic every day for a week. It doesn't stop the awful stench, but just occassionally you get to breath some fresh air for a few seconds. So good news is that they ARE struggling to survive as a going concern. Bad news is that will likely create a siege mentality amongst the players to see them start to carve out unexpected results. Personally, not only do I believe that ONLY - 10 is grossly unfair, but also that the FL are still keeping their Powder Dry and I do expect to see more deductions heading their way IF they survive. What are we starting to see here? TB starting to tell the truth. OK that's a start. Pennies are dropping (no not just mordant) but as in that blog, they STILL cannot see how Quality v Quantity which they bought into MEANT that those players WOULD be unsustainable (Quality IS more expensive, just because they all buy their clothes at Car Boot sales doesn't mean second hand PL players are also cheap) So, until there is REAL understanding I still hope they die because they still don't see it was cheating. The "It's not fair" argument. The FL have made it very clear that they cannot stop people under the current rules. Yes a Licence system will be an improvement but that will not happen for some years. Under Corporate Law (yes Football IS a business strangely) The Officers of a Company do NOT have to accept a Takeover bid so STOP MOANING - the FL did not accept the bid - YOU did. (Example? SISU & Saints). At what point will I believe that they have been punished? Acceptance by their fans that they cheated Acceptance by their fans (and some of the media - Matt) that the reason this thread kept going was that WE saw things were wrong and that WE were cheated at SMS in the FA Cup (sod them cheating to win it, they HAD to have lied in Court to be allowed to sign those loan players before that game) Acceptance by Voldermort that he needs to shut up and play the kids Relegation and a MINIMUM of -10 next season Legal action against Lumpitt & Storrie teller leading to being banned (and TBH Jail time) An apology OR a refusal to accept Nomination in the Awards list for Community Club of the Year - that is an utter disgrace Then, JUST POSSIBLY, I could accept their continued survival.

Surely it should be possible to arrange the software so that you can click an option to "Buy" a smoking pass-out for say a pound a game. Exit with the card via the turnstile and re-enter within so many minutes of the start of the second half. People get their ciggy, the 5 or 600 that take it up would cover any additional stewards costs - simples

Uh possibly very wrong. Arsenal are about the only club currently trying to be self sufficient in the PL in advance of the FFP rules coming in. The irony is that the players Wenger brougt in under those restrictions look like getting kicked out the CL. Their League form is also bad. As a result IF they don't reach thetop 4 by the end of the season to qualify for next year's CL, their business model is screwed and they will almost certainly be the first PL club to fail the FFP regs Was an article on it in the DT yesterday but cannot find it now

Thing with them though is that their legacy debt was so horrific they simply had no choice. Go up or be gone. Dumping an extra 40 mil on their debt won't make a difference if they go pop. That is (very) slightly different from gambling on the future that others try
