  1. Nobody on here saw that coming, what a shock.
  2. Ah if only the leaders back then had possessed an IQ above 4
  3. Cracking effort that Trousers, I'm proud of you. Although, next time, remember to ask if he plays golf.
  4. Did a spell check on it for you. We all know they can't type
  5. Hey Crabby, that's a damned good endorsement from the troll for your missive. Think that is probably the first truthful statement the troll has made on this thread.
  6. Which made me think of the troll. Which then made me think of one of his previous disappearances "due to Gardening leave" Which then made me think of his current Job Which then made me think WTF did he do to Barbie?
  7. Arrrrrrrghhhhhhhhh Noooooooooooooooooo That's gawn & dunnit
  8. mattslaterbbc Matt Slater Hearing grim news from the Potteries, Port Vale on brink of admin, could go any minute now #pvfc BBC Stoke has the details 27 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply
  9. This is actually an important point, Hypo's wooly ness actually nails it. Down here the "Locals" are not all true born "Emiratis" hell back in 1967 there were not that many bumbling round the fishing & Pearl harbours. The first level of Emiratisation came with an influx of other Arab "Tribes" especially from Yemen. Yet we don't see "Locals" walking around with the Khandar (Yemeni Dagger) around their waist. The Local culture has developed it's own depth and meaning and now there are very specific organisations that work very hard to MAINTAIN that culture. (Just compare that to the (in some places) problems caused by Flying an English Flag or even Prayers before a Council Meeting) BUT, on TOP of that, the country has opened it's mind to other cultures. Foreign Influences impact upon and have helped build a culture. Be it the Arab Bag Pipe Band, local kids belting Gangsta Rap out of their souped up motors, Gary Rhodes Restaurant serving Arabic British Fusion Cuisine, all Nationalities eating at the Legendary Ravi's, ex-pats automatically adopting the Arabic way of hospitaility to a Visitor or traveller. Horse Racing combines the Arabic Traditions with the grandeur of Royal Ascot, many locals now play golf and work with me doing "The Tiger Thing" or take their kids along to see Rory or Federer. We now have Emiratis playing in ouor Rugby 7's squad. There will be as many locals at the upcoming Madonna gigs as there will be ex-pats, and many of us will be going to see the likes of Amr Diab in concert. So yes over time the core culture has taken on board influences, BUT us ex-pats are as supportive of the efforts to retain the identity and core Culture as the locals. BUT, and this is the rub and where UK went so wrong. Down here you adapt or you leave because you are not welcome. Immigrant. don't like the place or the culture, you don't complain, you leave or you are made to leave. THAT is the difference
  10. Going to be an important part of our team going forwards. Will offer us a real choice of styles up front depending on the type of team we are playing against. Looks to be an intelligent player as well. But here's a piece of advice - you guys up at Donny want to compete in modern football you REALLY need to get a Physio in charge. At this point He's fat, he's round he bounces off the ground, Billy Sharp, Billy Sharp... (But only in comparison to the rest of OUR players)
  11. Now then, where was that clip from The Life of Brian. How did it go? I am not the Messiah.
  12. And yet in the snooze article he admits - he does not have the money to buy the club. But he's looking for people who do. Now, where have we heard THAT one before? Out of the 200,000 who packed Southsea Common, only ONE of them "may know some people with enough money?" As it stands at the moment, the only differences beteen him & Mickey Fialka appear to be a hairstyle & the fact that Brian doesn't live with his Mum
  13. Don't you go and drag me into this thread! Oh sod it, actually here you go. Integration is NOT the main issue. It is RESPECT. Many idiots come down here and act like they are still in UK. Similarly many Immigrants in UK act like they are still at home. The missing ingredient is RESPECT. I Respect the local culture. I respect the fact that they allow us to have Bars & Churches. I don't go around criticising their systems in Publlic or demanding they abolish the Zero Tolerance Drink Driving Laws. In the same way those in UK should Respect where they are and the Culture. they should not demand Sharia Law, forced marriages etc. The real problem in the UK? So many people failed to understand that you can be Multi-Cultural and keep your core culture. They alienated so many that if you asked an outsider today what UK culture was they'd say - Drunks vomitting in your high streets, Katie Price, Celebrity/Reality Television and Deep Fried Mars Bars, and having crap national Football teams. Difficult to show respect to that even as a Brit these days. (ironic winkey smiley thingy)
  14. Luckily Britney left her web cam on
  15. Well, this thread has been going a long time now
  16. Steve, have a word mate.... That was Neil Allen. Don't confuse him with the word "Journalist"
  17. Six tumbleweeds roll along the streets each representing a failed owner. Change these back again to what they were, thou powerful enchanter, Time, and they shall be seen to be the carriages of absolute crooks and lunatics, the equipages of feudal nobles, the toilettes full of fat of flaring Jezebels, the churches that are not my father's football club honestly, but dens of thieves, the huts of millions of starving peasants in Lithuania! No; the great magician who majestically works out the appointed order of the Creator FF, never reverses his transformations. "If thou be changed into this shape by the will of God," say the seers to the enchanted, backed by the wiseman from the Arabian shores, "then remain so! But, if thou oh Crabby cannot edit this form through mere passing conjuration, then resume thy former aspect and stick to the photoshop Dude!" Changeless and hopeless, the tumbleweeds roll along. Of the riders in the thread, some observe these things, and all things on their last roadside, with an impassive stare; others, with a lingering interest in the ways of life and men. Some, seated with drooping heads, are sunk in silent despair ankle deep in urine; again, there are some so heedful of their looks that they cast upon the multitude such glances as they have seen in rumamafia, and in pictures. Several close their eyes, and think, or try to get their straying thoughts together. Only one, and he a miserable creature, of a crazed aspect, is so shattered and made drunk by horror, that he sings, and tries to dance, and he tries to make sense of the chaos before him within the 1129 pages..... Not one of the whole number appeals by look or gesture, or to be stupid enough to offer up their Editing Skills, to the pity of the people........... "I see Rallyboy, and Ho, The Defraud, The Vengeance, the HMRC, the Judge, long ranks of the new oppressors who have risen on the destruction of the old, helping to expose this poopey by this retributive instrument of the PTS, before it shall cease out of its present use. I see a beautiful creation and a brilliant people rising from this abyss, and, in their struggles to be truly free, in their triumphs and defeats, through long long to come, I see the end of the evil of this time down the M27, and of the previous time of which this is the natural birth, gradually making expiation for itself and wearing out on Southsea Common.... "I see the lives for which I lay down my life, peaceful, useful, prosperous and happy, in that England which I shall see no more while I am engaged in this noble quest. I see Her in the caravan with a child upon her bosom, who bears the name Britney. I see her father, her brother and uncle as one, aged and bent from the weight of the Big Issue, but otherwise I see football restored, and faithful to all men in his healing office, and at peace. I see the good old man Sacha, so long their friend, in ten years' time enriching them with all he has in his car park, and passing tranquilly to his reward at 24% interest to chinny. "It is a far, far better thing that you, Crabby, do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better test that you go to than I have ever known." With an awful lot of apologies to Charles Dickens
  18. Just a question. If the PL is supposed to be the promised land and the place to make loadsa money. How can someone like Villa LOSE 91.5 million IN TWO YEARS? Like, what the feck is the point?
  19. Well, he's only 1% behind Andy Carroll now and above Frazier Campbell. C'mon gang what you waiting for?
  20. Agree. What WOULD be interesting is IF Adkins (and his team) were given 2 years of working with Carroll whether he would actually improve as much as Rickie has. Taking Rickie's perfromances in the nPc this season, the nearest equivalent player I can think of to compare him to is Alan Shearer. Shearer's contribution to build up play and ability to score screamers, penalties and scappy goals. Compare Rickie at the same age as Carroll and I think we would pick Carroll (just). But I think the key ingredients (as NA said on Saturday) has been Rickie's attitude & appetite to improve and the coaches he has around him to bring that out of him. Can RL perform in the PL? Playing for us in a style where we play to his strengths? Hell yes. Playing for someone else? Doubt it
  21. You understood me from your last sentence. My point was the GCC states HAVE to be seen to be neutral (while underneath they really really really want them gone) Ancient Chinese Proverb or something. When standing in front of fecking big nasty nasty guy with a gun pointed at your head, do NOT spit in his face and call his mother a wh0re As in OF COURSE they want them gone. but they sure as hell don't SAY that, and sure don't do any of the Sabre Rattling to give any excuse to get a pot shot fired in their direction. They stick to the "Moan to the UN" route. So, strangely, in Realpolitik world they would like nothing more than for Israel to take action, get the Yanks involved by accident change the regime yadda yadda - AS LONG AS they can bury their heads in the sand.... and don't get Scuds dropping on their heads (again)
  22. It has been that way (as I said before) for years. And Pap, it cannot be US Led, not least because they have "close relationships" with the Gulf States. US Led instantly puts those nations with US / UN forces/bases at risk, so it must the the "Evil Empire" and then the US simply moves in "assets" to help keep it's friends safe (and the Global Economy's oil supply of course) And of course the Iranians will simply pop a Silkworm off as they sail through the Straights of Hormuz and that will be that. The thread got sidetracked looking at the merits and alternate solutions to the problem, but the Realpolitik has not changed, just keeps ramping upwards. Saw some stuff on the Beeb news while in the UK last week that made it sound like they almost expected it to have kicked off in the past 7 days or so
  23. Another day passes. More muppets emerge from the woodwork. How interesting that Storrie teller emerges from his Hayling Island Bunker now that Lumpitt has gone. poopey don't have a CEO any more and there's the 2nd worst CEO in Footballing History putting himself back in the frame. Have to say, it seemed to take a hell of a long time for that White Witch to finally exorcise the curse that the shirt buried at SMS was supposed to have placed on us, and it seems to have taken a heck of a lot longer for the one we got her to put onto poopey to come to fruition, but you have to say that every day they keep going, more embarrassment gets thrown onto their shameful heads. Love it Tick Tock, every day that the thread slows down means they are a day nearer to the Final Countdown & Reality check. Surely it must be time for "Buyers to emerge"?
  24. Ah yes of course it was Martin Cranie - my bad
