That really was a long time ago though. In the current climate the charges for the 60-65 age group is very tough on those on fixed or in many cases declining incomes and trying to scrape what they can to top up their savings. But, there are also a percentage of fans in that bracket who have higher incomes than many of us and have very nice pensions thank you very much. The failure of the club to adequately explain this increase is indefensible, and for many the extra few hundred pounds is simply unaffordable when getting hit from rising costs from all sides. Somebody in the club must have done some Marketing Research (of see what i did there) and decided that a higher percentage of the 60-65 bracket ARE better off and could afford it. (I think that the whole thing sucks BTW) BUT, and it really is a big BUT. One thing I have learnt is that watching football and Saints and having a season Ticket for many many years is something I took for granted. Now I can only get to see Saints play between one and three times a season. From experience I can tell you that there is never a truer set of words than "You don't know what you've got until it's gone". You cannot afford an ST because of the rises and the economy, fair enough. But 1) Don't stop going and 2) Don't be such a fool as to thing that it is EVER going to go back to what you remember from "The Golden Years" in your or anyone on here's lifetime. The ONLY way it will go back? Kill Satellite Television completely and that ain't gonna happen.
