Interesting - Sky News has been doing this to death but in a lot of detail for over an hour now. What happens when the Internet and hacking enable anyone who dislikes you to hack all your data emails and pictures and post them on a web site in another country so that any can see it, is the extreme worst case scenario. Actually no, it was all down to Dave Merrington.... Who made the point that earlier in the season when we had gone behind and were not playing well the fans became very negative and booed the players off at half time etc. You may recall when you went to the odd game that fans have a habit of groaning at a misplaced pass and telling XY or Z player they are sh1t. (Think we had some threads about that for us non regulars.) Anyway DM commented that against MKD something different happened, the fans kept going, so did the team. The rest is history. How many teams win when their heads drop & stay that way?

With the financial rules as they are today and with the "ease" of corruption in finances, to play in the top flight you need money. The recession is hitting very hard and will get much worse. The World wants MORE football, huge sums are paid now by Satellite companies who want to penetrate emerging markets and offer a raft of products to the weirdest places. So the money from fans may drop, the money from Sky could drop BUT the rest of the world will keep those TV rights monies growing. Saints can take around 28,000 home fans per game in the PL, we had 28k for L1 and more wanting to go. So as UP says - tough guys, market forces will determine the price. Football is NOT some share it all out Socialist wonder world. It is totally utterly based on being competitive, the better the product the better our players the more money you can earn and the better you can become. The choices really are - build 80,000 seat (or standing) stadiums so they could charge 20 quid a game and make money on the concourses... OR Oh they already have a solution, Just need to make the terraces standing again.... SMS should be able to take 45-50,000 piece of cake, and we can get PL football for a price we could afford..... Unfortunately we had and still have "yoof" so ain't ever gonna happen. Although at least The Dark Lord tried to do ONE thing right by being part of the campaign to bring back safe standing

The Telegraph said something similar today although they said the shortfall was 23.5mil & that since Brady et al went their behind the scenes management had gone to ratsh1t. I actually think that many people can at least "sense" an Aura, some are aware as I said when someone walks into a room. I also think that some (maybe the more negative introverted or inward looking types don't notice. I suppose the simplest example I could give would be I saw Charles & Diana unexpectedly donkeys years ago at Wembley Arean, they literally walked right past me. Thing was a door opened, heads turned and it was her, everyone saw her, it was only after she walked past that I noticed the short guy next to her. The aura as a healing tool is something that you hear a lot about. Some people as you mentioned can see it "more clearly" and when illness exosts people say it does affect it. Now that doesn't mean I believe in faith healing, but that people can sense an illness and advie you to do something about it (stories of Dogs sensing Cancer and the like). So in an experience matter and also in "lots of Empirical evidence" these "abilities" and strong Auras exist in some but not in all. Unlike the God debate there is at least a line of indications that there are things of the mind that we don't understand (future hard wired up to Electronics etc is getting nearer) so there is "more of a possibility" that these forces could either cause what appears to be paranormal activity OR could be energies that can be released in some circumstances. Uri Gellers? meh maybe. Positive Mental Attitudes - proven to work. It's the grey area between the two

OK my mate (as mentioned before) became a licenced Hypnotist (will do another thread on that methinks). He also studied a lot of the New Age stuff that comes from actually understanding how the Human Brain works. The Chakra points one is interesting. On his stag weekend in Bangkok during the chillout time (ie early afternoon and before beer) visiting the Temple of the Emerald Buddha he asked us. Do you feel anything about this place? An energy, a calmness? Does it feel like something special or does it feel like the shopping mall? Well of course it had an atmosphere in the same wasy SMS can have one. He then explained how the palms of the hands have these energy points and you rub them to get them warm and hold them together as if you had say a small stress ball between them. Then focus on them, place your tongue on the top of your mouth to complete the connection and feel for "energy". Well after the 10 mins of mandatory ladish abuse we all tried. And yes there was the slightest tingling as if a vague something was there. We then went inside the actual temple with the Monks praying and tried again and this time the feeling was actually as if there really was like a 3 ish inch stress ball in the hands gentle but there. Anyway we practiced that & got a bit better. I did it at the theatre before Equus with Harry Potter - 90% audience women waiting to see him get his kit off and it was like holding a bloody beach ball. Likewise at SMS before the Walsall game as the teams came out. Is there any science behind it? NO. Is it the brain imagining and creating the feeling? yes obviously. But the POINT is that the mind creates that feeling even though nothing is there. A lot of similar New Age stuff - Auras for example. People who can supposedly see these will say "Wow you have a very strong aura" to us mere normal people - we would say "that person has a presence when they walk into a room". Ain't seen no machine yet that tests it but have seen attempts to measure them. Are they linked to paranormal activity? No idea. But the brain CAN do weird **** but of course people have to go through a process of sitting down and listening/learning watching first

Also, never underestimate that "what you feel on the night moment" Leonard Cohen was my #1 absolutely do not want to see choice couple of years back. Ended up at Cider Bus when he started went WTF and sat down to watch and it was THE hair standing up moment of the weekend. Likewise I hate Rap sod seeing Jayzee from the minute I planned that whole weekend.... But the buzz & the vibe all weekend turned out to be about him - we went and the moment he walked out with the Acoustic guitar and did Wonderwall. Unforgettable
