With Connolly looking much closer to full fitness now, Holmes could well assume the mantle of our best player in the Treatment Room. (Having said that, a fit Holmes brings a very good option at least to the bench. He offers a different style of play to that of say Forte (who has the pace). Some games we will need pace, some we will need balls into the box.) Highly unlikely anyone will want to buy him. Not many would take him on long loans and why pay up his contract when we could in theory get a few games out of him. His award as Community Player of the year shows he brings something to the dressing room and the club (as opposed to Puncheon). Maybe this could be his year. He did look to have good potential until crocked by QPR all those decades (it seems) ago

Unfortunately, that award is only presented once in a Decade. Still got 8 years to go on that thread yet

I saw Roger Waters here in Dubai couple of years back. Luckily it was a 3 hour set (2nd half was The Wall in it's entirety) so by the time our (only allowed) mind altering substances (6 pints of Fosters) kicked in at the interval he was awesome.
