Informant admits that he lied about Iraq's WMD program
dubai_phil replied to Sheaf Saint's topic in The Lounge
Remarkably well put, it's so hard typing with the webbed hands Meanwhile, out of interest, just how many people got sacked for this whole malarky? Oh sorry stupid question. -
So here you go guys that'll get y'all steamed up... I truly would have preferred to have spent the evening watching Paint Dry, but luckily I had once watched an episode of Sex & the City so I understood this is something you have to do for the other half - ONCE. Celebs - yeah great - all Arabic Film stars (but not the ONLY one I've ever heard of) and a bunch of Bollywood types - oh yeah great. But the Bankering blokes chick. Strewth, if that's what those bonus cheques gets you....

OK my on the spot report. 1) Models - WTF? OK they had stunning faces and all that but there simply is nothing there to grab hold of. I could swear any normal male would need a roll of duct tape handy in the Bedroom to try and put them back together after 2) It was an ARABIC Fashion show of stunning numbers for the Lady of the region to wear indoors. Ho hum not even an ankle in sight So to the scoops. The designer (and this is a REALLY big story not yet made public) has a commission to make a Wedding Dress (no not Kate's). It will be in the Guinness Book of Records. It is the world's first ONE MILLION DOLLAR WEDDING DRESS. Hell there are people left in the world who still do what Poopey did - spend ridiculous amounts of money to cover up for the small size of their private parts Oh the Russkies you wanted to know. Medium sized bank in Russia with about 4 or 6 other banks around EU & South America The guys are sports nuts and have been trying to get into football for ages. They have done a lot in motorsport - I heard about Renualt in F1 but they also did something in Le Mans & Dakar Rally They support Basketball and a Moscow based Ice Hockey club They are NOT stupid have a lot of people in football and have met many many clubs and agents and consultants and do a great deal of research. Apart from that I really enjoyed my two glasses of fresh green apple juice and posing for Hello Magazine. Will try and download a really exciting photo (yawn) of a skinny fit chick in a tent in a moment

I cannot believe anyone is doubting the reasons that we cannot do this. The TSW footballing heroes have two of the finest managers in world football with a Sporting Pedigree second to none. Clearly only having ONE team from each forum is dead in the water as OldNick would simply sue Granty & Baj when we put the banning order on him to stop him taking over MY job as Team Manager

Today is an Interesting Day. Seems my GF got us an invite to a big Fashion Show thingy tonight. With loads of celebs coming along to see your resident Global Sporting legend. I just clocked the guest list, there's some Bankers on the list from - well I'll let you guess - as it's been an odd week co-incidence wise. Wonder what I can dig up this evening - better switch to my Tux from the Lounge Suit & work out how to order my Martini's should I use the Casino Royale version or...

Eddie Mitchell Stirs The Pot Before Cherries Game
dubai_phil replied to farawaysaint's topic in The Saints
But this is the heroic leader of plucky little Bompey - you know, the man with such massive dreams for his club that when his manager left a few weeks ago he said that his aim is to consolidate their position in League ONE... -

Obviously Eddie is having trouble selling Hostility seats for the game, a last ditch attempt by him to find someone who may want to go? keep looking for money Eddie, you know you'll find it under a rock before too long. How's the Construction Industry these days? -
Went to the event last night. 10,000 Emirates Airmiles per ticket (earn them from about two return flights to UK in cattle class) Lovely chill out lounge at the back of the venue sort of two storey so sat upstairs. Free Champers all night until I very foolishly switched onto lots of extremely large Vodkas. Loads of nibblies didn't soak it up fast enough. Ouch this morning, luckily the GF managed to find us a taxi.... Micah Paris - wow she belted out a 40 minute set what a tremendous Soul voice she has, but she was on early and the crowd was still in "Have to rush to get there from work" mode She sang one "hit" that I recognised but would happily see her again in a smaller venue. 6.5/10 Alison Moyet - I mean WTF??!! When did she become HOT? Being over here obviously haven't seen or heard of her for like 18 years, so this fit chick with a great bod comes on stage.... She must have lost half a ton in weight since the days of Alf. BUT. How to describe her set? Let's just say Alpine must listen to her music every day. It was very sort of Film Noir, dark and in her words "The Queen of Doom". Heck even her hits were re-worked with Piano so you just wanted to hang yourself. She was musically very good, and the band were very tight but it was just so downright sort of negative. If I were working for the Samaritans I'd make sure the first thing I asked any potential suicide victim would be - Please stop listening to her latest music. Hard to judge really I wanted to love it but it was really dull 4.5/10 Jools - well I sort of imagined that we'd see some bloke come on stage with a big band and play music we'd never heard before and it would be happy and dance-a-long stuff. And it was. Great great Entertainer, great band and just belted out a whole 80 minutes worth of Rythm & Blues (NOT that Hip Hop rubbish version but stuff like Muddy Waters etc) and also some great Ska stuff - he had Rico Rodrigues (sp) in the band who he introduced as "the founder/King" of Ska. Ruby Turner came out and did a bunch of great stuff and Alison Moyet came back out and actually sang some Happy Stuff. He certainly got us up and dancing in the Hostility Tents although the "I'm a serious important person" in the front rows of seating could only be seen occassionally tapping a finger. Have to say, anybody (apart from Hard Core Rap fans) who appreciates music should make an effort to get along and see him live. You won't know many (if any) of the songs but you'll be singing along and loving it (even without drinking the bar dry) 8.5/10 Overall for the event, a nice (but for us fecking cold) evening well worth burning an upgrade from Emirates 7/10 Go see Jools live.

Nah that's been going on and off and on and off for ages, it's a slightly different cause there with the Shia majority trying to overturn the Sunni majority and get more representation in their Parliament. It wouldn't be a mass uprising like the others for them it really is more of a Political one not a get rid of a Dictator one. Now the Iranians on the other hand, well they have form in starting revolutions

Hmmm trouble now kicking off in Libya. That Gaddaffi family may need somewhere to live & work soon. I hear that Mubarak may go to the UK - he's loaded Plenty of time left in this yet, so many undesirables out there to link them with

As an admin perhaps you should create a travel forum for different locations so we don't have to retype this sort of stuff every 4/5 weeks Most of the bars around Leidersplein FWIW

Ah yes my friend. However, knowing how their business minds work, they will have seen the "British Football Club available for free to a good home" at Battersea Dogs home and will have obviously made enquiries. Which then opens up a couple of other highly amusing scenarios, the worst of which would be seeing them saved by people that the Inter net thinks are even dodgier than Sacha, but some of the others, well, in the absolute funniest case we all know who would enjoy visiting the Sawadeeka Spa Massage Parlour & Sauna in Fratton's new Shopping Mall

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
dubai_phil replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
I'd like to thank the many who have passed by this thread and added their valid opinions to it. I have now decided to focus my Inter est elsewhere and I await the emergence of the next great non-debate about what are actually important points and concepts about our Direction and attitude. I look forward to one day having something we can debate with all the facts -
For some reason the image of the original Michael Caine version of The Italian Job just sprung to mind with "Our "Arry" masterminding everything from Parkhurst - quick tell the G'vnor to call Pearcey & get Rooney out wider on the left....

Many MANY years ago I was at home at my parents. I heard an "explosion" that rattled the windows of the house. Called it in, Police came round asked some questions and around half the village had heard it. They took the details and then let us know a couple of days later that it was a Jet from Boscombe Down that had inadvertently broken the Sound barrier in a manouvere. Being a wave, they explained it could have reflected off some hills and buildings and so not everyone would have noticed it. May have been a similar case over there maybe one of those Harriers guys decided to see if the old model actually could do it!
