Oh dear. We've been moaning for years that we didn't have a fan in charge and lo and behold we have a bloke in charge who feels the way we do about our club and we then decide that is a weakness. Again, second simple statement this week that has knocked back the NC baiters. Les Reed runs Staplewood and has nothing to do with the first team. Cue some more debate on that one.
-
Les Reed - has and will have NOTHING to do with the first team
dubai_phil replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
And like the way they caught Adam out for saying Adkins name - lol NC makes ANOTHER simnple clear clarification -
Chris Temple? On Solent CORTESE Les reed will have nothing to do with Nigel Adkins running the First Team Lol then he gets caught - as in no, NC didn't mention a name.. Reed's job is to run STAPLEWOOD Interesting

Yesterday afternoon. Pointing out that there is a discrepancy in what the media is reporting. That is all.

Oops I apologise, it would seem my previous assertion is now deemed incorrect. It wouold seem that Homer Simpson invented the Universe and that everything else that has happened since, and especially these past two weeks is completely unbelievable. Or is that just me not quite interpreting what the Press says? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/7995554/Stephen-Hawking-mistaken-for-a-Simpsons-character.html

Well, first of alll there was this bloke with a big white beard who fumled around for a light switch, found it and said Let There Be Light. After that everyting else seems a little bit unbelievable. In sort, nah nothing happened

Dear Lord MM.... Like I said. WHARTON COULDN'T GET HOLD OF CORTESE YESTERDAY. His own words. http://www.championshipforum.co.uk/championship_news_gossip/?p=333 As I posted in another link somewhere on this thread that comment was embellished by Wharton saying about NC flying back from Switzerland, which prompted a discussion seeing as NC had a dinner at SMS the night before. And yet the Echo say they spoke. And yet NC was on an airplane
-
Another possible scenario could be... NC Interviews 5 or 6 candidates He produces a list of the preferred choices including the costs involved He flies to Switzerland to make a presentation to the owners for 1) Their perusal/approval and/or 2) Their approval of the budget/costs involved. If nothing else I would expect the dismissal of the Pardew group will have incurred substantial costs which will have affected his budget for the year. A Chairman is employed by the owners perhaps they may want to have somebody tell them what is going on first? If there is a face to face involved then to me it suggests he needs a decision ratified.

Lol There was a quote by Wharton that he was seeking to speak to NC to discuss Compensation, however he could not contact him as he was returning from Switzerland. That quote is about 2 pages back and on a Scunny media report. The Echo states that Wharton spoke on the phone and implies the trip to Switzerland into something that was a weekend break and then became changed. Just my point that NC may have flown there for a day seemed to have been overlooked in the Echo article. The POINT is, why does it differ by 180 degrees from what Wharton is reported to have said "oop north" just odd that's all

Had just left the office and was driving home. One of my guys called to say there had been a plane crash and to watch telly. Got in and sat dumbfounded for a couple of hours and, not afraid to admit it, in tears. THEN the sh1t hit the fan for us. In amongst the global shock, one person in our HR department in the US must have looked up and said "oh cr@p , we have people in the Middle East". Launching a 3 day rush to get a plan in place to move 20 employees and all their family members out of here and to a factory in Ireland. Those days, the fear of stupid reprisals from Bush and the astonishing level of support from people in the company as well as the Irish Government in getting everything sorted was couple with huge sadness at the loss of one of our company's most liked employees. "Shaun" had taken his fiance on a "surprise" trip to Hawaii from Boston. What she did not know was that he had arranged for both sets of families and close friends to fly ahead of them for the wedding on the beach. They never made it.
-
That contradicts the comments from Wharton that he couldn't speak to NC because he was flying back from Switzerland Clearly nobody from a small town paper has ever heard of day trips to Europe for business
-
Lol You had the delights of the A380 yet?
-
Yeah, but Nico has such a damned good business plan, he won't fail
-
Well he was at SMS last night

Which, also fits with the other theory. NC (and maybe the club) knew about Markus's health and did not want photographers & to an extent Journalists in the stadium taking pictures, commenting or speculating on his health or appearance. It is a strong co-incidence that the ban slotted closely into the first home game (when Markus was DUE to attend but was too unwell) and ends after the family have been to SMS after the funeral. Obviously that is simply an analysis. But the facts fit pretty closely. And if it is true then a fair few may just need to step up and apologise, because again obviously IF it was done as protection to Markus & the Family then there would be no damned way THAT would have been stated as the reason. Could quite easily have been two birds and one stone. He also had the chance to see if he could actually make money. If NC is true to the form he has shown though, I expect we won't be told and that is the dignified way to be, let the moaners continue as we all are - in ignorance

Well done to the lads, great effort in a difficult season for them injury wise

So, with all this work going on and bending of the embargo, can anyone enlighten me? Just how many defenders do they have in their squad of 20? According to the last list I saw on here it was 4. And according to a decent Skate mate I met for a beer last week, the figure was..... 4. Now I know some moan that NC could be picking our team, and I know AA is a clown, but surely even he can see that playing with no defenders on the bench for 40 odd matches is a tad unwise? Thanks googlemaniacs for any research into this subject
-
At least now we know why some on here have been so vocal about the withdrawal of the installment plan. They now have to PAY to watch a game just like everyone else... And no, I wasn't having a dig at DBP there More to the point though, NC was a "Senior Type Account Advisor" to High nett Worth Individuals. I think the only shock would be if he could NOT work a dinner party/Networking event in a highly polished and professional manner. Press the flesh, engage, empathise. Rules 1 through 3 in that sort of role. (Bet the 14 ST holders get put on a mailing list for Investment Deals as well)
-
So googlemaniacs. Any news on any Scunny forums as to whether Sinking Deal is taking training up there today? Or is he doing the 5 hour shuffle down to SMS for an 11:23pm Press Conference? (Now THAT would serve many hacks right - having to get out the pub on a Friday night!)
-
Crikey! Did you here Sir Alex being interviewed the other week? Mumbled in such a strong accent that nobody outside of Scotland can understand a word he says. He refuses to talk to some of the media, is he a neo Nazi Facist? Crikey! Did you hear Fabio Capello being interviewed when he was being lined up for the England job? The Buffoon could not even speak OUR language

Last spotted in B&Q buying a pair of Bolt Cutters just to help the Cherries fans out when their Landlords padlock the ground for rent arrears (allegedly). Mitchell must be gutted at not getting cash in for Howe, especially after his great deal for Pittman turned into a small cash deposit and future payments. Should we believe Mitchell or Saints at the moment? Dear oh dear, how funny it is that some take Eddie the builders view over ours Peeps, the word is Supporters of a football club, not Moaners of a football club.

Followed very next post by Lengthy (and entertaining) quote from yep, the Media... Lol

How the hell can they afford to get Redkrapp back as manager? Don't they realise he's rubbish at trying to save sinking ships without spending a fortune on players?

and a rah rah from here on top

OK I agree with you on Zim, but on this - which is the greater Civilisation? You answer in the "Brit Filter way" Example - I spoke to a bloke in UK today on biz who simply could NOT understand why his client would not pay his consulting bill this weekend. The FACT that it is Eid and everything including banks are shut until Sunday/Monday was met with the "Bolox, all the banks are open here" They ARE civilised. SImply they believe that living in mud huts with noe education and no electricity is THEIR version of Civilisatiion
