With Alps on this, I've never heard of a professional business that does not have a business review to monitor past performance and to review the future plans. If someone wants to interpret that as reviewing AP's future then of course that is what they are doing, AP has next season to plan for, that is in the future. They review and discuss what needs to be done that affects AP AND NC's future. Would be more worried if there WASN'T a meeting to discuss the future. And anyway, how do WE know what that review could entail - NC could say - situation changed we have no cash sell everyone. They could say OK buy everyone for the Champions League push now so we can get them cheap...

Look at a close example - a club being rebuilt with big investment for the League they were in. The manager is doing a good job (not an outstanding job, but a good one). The Board panic because they wanted success NOW, they fire the manager. That really got Manchester City into the Champions League didn't it.... Who could know whether Sparky would have got them into the same position or would have turned a couple of their draws into wins. Pardew has done a better than good job. IMHO this uncertainty came about because the Club tried to push for promotion with the investment in January. Our results during the season (when you remove the disasterous start) would have been promotion. Nothing we have seen shows that AP is incapable of at least maintaining that same team building/results ratio for next season. If we have ANYTHING close to even an AVERAGE start to next season in comparison to this then we will go up, and with this team why on earth would that not happen? Starting again with a new manager and a new back office team. Huge risk, huge costs and plain not needed right now. Would happily trade a few bad results in midweek on muddy pitches for a full season with this team and the couple of additions it will need. We'll be in the mix from the start. Why risk change now?
