  1. TT you guys in California are just SO lucky. If only it wasn't so illegal down here to get stuff that helps you dream. :-) But seriously, way back in the Old Days (see what I did there) often had some sort of premonition when going to The Dell. Never really noticed it som much in the lowe years, but these days I do get vibes about games. Leeds is one of them. You may be right, can't gamble here so maybe just tweak my prediction league score. Anyway. leave TT alone, we're not allowed to comment on players or tactics anymore and if we were to pop up on MB's anti-Brit Social Services thread we'd get so much stick
  2. No, regular SMS players will know the only way to suck up to DP is to make sure there is a case of Magners delivered to the dugout before KO And of course to set me up with the perfect cross to Volley into the back of the net in the warm up (But this year they may have to fight off my Thai masseure for the role. No not for me for the fecking calf muscle strains of the Boysh. Still Stevo said he wanted a key role)
  3. Well, i's your own fault, next time try and get ON the bus before the door closes. But seriously. As you may know I am suffering a bit here. I was gutted at missing out on my "Key Role" at the1st Dubai Footie 7's, but the reason I've had so much time to sit on here the past year or so was because I had started up a new business down here and then suddenly out of nowhere whoosh we get a visitor coming in and I have to drop everything, prepare and run around like Hammie last year getting stuff done and making meetings work. The point is, when you know what you are aiming at, when you know that you have "The Dream", then every minute preparing, working on the PC or for the Big Day wroking in the gym. Every mile run, every brain cell or muscle you train to work towards that moment when YOU guys have "A once in a Lifetime Opportunity" comes back and rewards you with interest like you would not believe. The BIG DAY is about The Field of Dreams. One day you'll be an old fart like me & Nickh WISHING we had had THAT moment. Like me in the last week or so you have to sacrifce somethings that would have been special. Unlike me you guys have time to plan and prepare better, but on THAT day, like with me today IF you have done everything you truly COULD have done then you will not waste that once in a lifetime moment. Your day will stay with you, you will tell your mates and one day your grandchildren. BUT if you do the work, it WILL be that much more special because you. like I did today WILL be the best you can and you will also win. Feck yeah did I have a great couple of days and fec yeah the Away team - We are gonna ROCK So, JustMike, 1.25 miles today you star. And tomorrow? at least 30 sit (well stand) ups while watching (listening) to the game. Sorry about that chaps. Bit emotive today, , I even gave myself a WOOT normal service will be resumed shortly. Get some fecking miles in boysh. It REALLY helps!
  4. Number 7 Oh sorry, had a relapse for the old non PC days of TMS there
  5. Go dig out some archives. The maths works as well, especially at this point in the cycle. All the snippets have been talked about on here, even some designs existed as I recall. Just needed the politics. How's things going, we missed you, but we know you're very busy:-)
  6. Tee hee, if it all goes well would certainly hiss off the skates.... We've got more grounds than you...
  7. OK 1) Not agreeing that a move is a good idea. It's a GUESS, an opinion, a trying to work out why. 2) Working out the logic only Club succeeds. Different vibe to the club from the Lowe days when we moved from The Dell. Fan base is POTENTIALLY bigger than 30ish thousand. The club owns 51 acres of land. Theoretically as the UK comes out of recession in 2 or 3 years demand for new housing & commercial property will return. Jackson's Farm is unlikely to get planning permission NOW but could have a very significant value for mixed use development. St Mary's area including the Waterfront & the Ind Estate WOULD have a very substantial redevelopment potential at the right time in the "Economic Cycle". Southampton still lacks a quality waterside "leisure & entertainment" venue. So NOT ADVOCATING anything but a new 50,000 stadium in JF drives the chain of events. Only ONE thing missing. It would need a well liked billionaire who has a 5 year plan and likes the City and a guy who thrives on doing deals to make it happen. Where would we find those? HTH
  8. Ah, I see what he's done there. Very clever, and yep a good idea. Wonder if it will work.
  9. Probably fairly minor things Who owns FP? Who owns the club? Who owns Falcondrome? Who allowed Jacob & Azoughy (who was not a Director remember) to sign paperwork relating to transferring large sums of money around Dotting t's and crossing i's no doubt
  10. In reality, I think that the events so far have changed the situation. For some time it was only us paranoid cyber warriors on here who wanted them "punished" in varying degrees of severity for the past 5 or 6 years. The good part of this saga is that feeling has now spread through the rest of the fan base in England, has spread into the media and (to upset the PL & GM) has spread to the wider global market. PCFC are becoming the butt of jokes among many of the global TV service providers and media and certainly now I get a much more positive response from Arabs when I say I'm a Saints Fan - along the lines of "Ha you find Poorsmuff funny yes?" Personally I have no doubt that punishment, humiliation for the previous regime all lie in wait. They fought to buy time, the time is building the scale of the lolage when they make their statements. What that punishment ends up being is still wide open for debate. Many on here talk as if a CVA is a foregone conclusion, but that will STILL need a big buck spender to achieve. Chancers and property speculators still loon (sic) in their horizon to prolong the problems, BUT at the end of the day to geta CVA somebody HAS to put a LOT of money into them. Have Crystal Palace been sold yet? How long did Saints look? both CCC clubs one got lucky. They COULD still be wound up without a big buck buyer, we forget that. So tick tock they bought some time. Tick tock from the punishment side, Judgement Day now gets closer - 8 weeks and counting for The Android. Patience. we'll get close to 30,000 posts before the Fat Lady arrives at the stadium with their saviours.
  11. So sort of in I tried to tell you so land, the Court Case was about a piece of paper, OK they found one, well done. Back to reality, they cannot add anymore debt. Chanrai is flapping like a stranded fish to try and get the original loan back that he was "conned" into giving the club. Does anyone REALLY believe he will be giving them anymore CASH? Where will HE get it back from? They ONLY have one source of cash. The Parachute money & the next Sky payment. What sort of team can they put out next year IF they don't get a sugar Daddy before May? Hell they've even all but canned tehir academy so it's 28 players at 4 grand a week average = 28 mil. They couldn't afford Lloyd James on that! 12,000 ST Holders at 600 quid? TV Income? Matchday revenue? IF they are lucky they may get close to 25mil in income The parachute is gone. The new owners will need to build facilities and so invest in the assets. Guys, enough of the doom and gloom. Not being wound up is GOOD news. We still have a rival, the thread will get close to 30,000 posts and the recovery period will take 2 or 3 years IF someone BUYS them. BUT They STILL have to find "a businessman with more money than sense at a time when the economy is still iffy, an election is due. The ONLY saving grace for foreign buyers they get cheaper as the pound falls. BUT many think it could fall another 10 or 20% that's a HELL of a hit for a foreign investor BEFORE you start turning the club around.. Remember somebody STILL has to pay off SOME of the debt the Sky & Parachute ONLY covers the running costs to the end of the season. Tick Tock. They are buying time and praying for a buyer now. How long did that take us? The want em dead faction?- chillax The loads more years of hurt brigade? looking good
  12. 'ello my son, 'ave I got a deal for you. Wot u needs is an agent wot can get u onto a proper photo web site. just send me 10 cup final tickets and I guarantee you'll retire from your Granty porno pics mate awright!?
  13. Due to integration into the local culture, not to mention ISP censorship, some things never get seen
  14. The race today and tomorrow will be to solve the main issue that has been forgotten. The funding for Administration. With the monthly burn rate at around 4mil they have March April & May wages and running costs to pay. Part of the admin issue was that Chanrai offered only a bank statement as Proof of Funds. As Saints Takeover watchers may be aware, even Tony Lynham managed that. The missing element was the contractual proof that the amdin can be funded. Don't confuse this problem with the "Debts" they will still remain. So, Android must prove that those funds are guaranteed. Then, to play again next season, they will have a burn rate of 2-3 mil in June & July, offset by ST revenue and player sales but still touch and go timing wise. This leaves them effectively at the start of next season needing to pay their own way, whilst ensuring that the Football Debts have been cleared. So the maths. A guaranteed 12mil Football Debts 8mil Summer Burn (say) 5mil ST income and player sales - the PROBLEM is that IF they use ST's and player sales to repay the football debts to get to the start of the season - ie they raise 13mil - how do they fund a CCC campaign? So they need the cash, they need the future income, and that is without the "Selling price" to a buyer to take over the "Other Debts" - ie cut a deal on 70mil ish. The cash is TV and parachutes, that gets the club through admin BUT leaves them a total rape victim at the start of next season, possibly in a worse state than they are now. The buyer will have to fund the club through the season with only CCC income and Chanrai & Gaydamark while they may accept a "Haircut" on the debt will not release the land/charges on the assets. Difficult to do, but they can survive to the end of the season. Watch for the Android Churchillian Speech about the guaranteed admin funding.
  15. The fans idolise them. They kiss the badge and then...
  16. Purely from a logic perspective, nowt to do with a moan about tickets. 20,000 is the average attendance. How many of the 20,000 have been to every home game this season? Possibly 10,000? Then how many have been to say half? Possibly say 5,000? Well if the average is 20,000 that means we have 30,000 fans who have been to at least half the games. In reality, how many Saints fans have actually been to SMS more than say twice this season? Quite possibly up in the 40-50,000 mark. So a more valid argument for the distribution of tickets would be a "Frequent Flyer" programme. Issue a loyalty card with commercial benefits swipe it when you go to a game or buy an away ticket. Ain't rocket science. ST Holders then those who can be proven to have been the most
  17. So that means they don't expect to sell any of their highly valued players then :smt044
  18. In the old days you weren't allowed to bring Video Tapes into this place unless they had been censored. Got turned over with a season worth of Red Dwarf Tapes. Try explaining Cat to some bloke with a gun saying What This? Went to Pakistan on business to take local clients to a Pak v England Test match. I took a bottle of Malt for the partner who had arranged everything. Customs serached and said "This not allowed".. Lengthy form filling and the word "Cricket" was mentioned. The customs guy showed me the confiscation register, while laughing. The name above me had a receipt for an identical bottle - the name and signature was Sir Geoffrey Boycott. We lol'd and I avoided the fine. Mate flew in to Dubai on vacation with his GF. They were staying at one of the beach hotels. They found her "personal satisfaction device". The guy searching the bags called the supervisor, who called the manager, who called the other officers over. Apparently they all stood around waving it in the air and asking for an explanation as to what it was and what it did. (In front of around 150 other BA Passengers in the queue.) They didn't stay here as long as planned, apparently there was bit of a "What the feck did you need that for on holiday?".... "Well, it was better than...." We lol'd

  20. Yep, sorry, the canal boat can be done in about an hour/1.5 if you get out at the snake farm OR Wat Arun (my bad) but the Grand Palace needs a good two hours to properly soak up the atmosphere.
  21. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7415616/Portsmouth-dismiss-85-staff-as-Peter-Storrie-takes-40-per-cent-pay-cut.html Court Case now a formality Poor old Storrie he has to settle for less than 500k a year. It must be So hard for him to make ends meet.
