  1. On a side note after BBB's epic list of pics. Anyone on here ever snogged (well actually been forced to) a Sal****er Croc? There. That always works. Stopped having to explain the mess on the wife's laptop keyboard. Oh and Whitey? Yes Not 'Arf
  2. Give them their dues. Episode 11 was a cracker. Certainly this has been a slow burner of a series but the cliffhanger leading in to the Series finale is a ripper. Good old fashioned "Spy Movie" Twists and turns this week.
  3. Will the weasel club have an annual Golf Day? If so, count me in.
  4. It was ILLEGAL for AJS to sell it to you IF you were resident outside MENA. The fact that (many) committed a fraud to hide your Geographic Location using software is another possible future issue. As is the fact that many thousands of people in many Supporters Streams have admitted to that fraud. I can sell you a Certificate that says you own a piece of the Moon. You can pay for it. Does not mean I was allowed to sell it to you and it would not mean you legally own part of the moon. The Morons who have taken advantage of this have screwed over several million subscribers over here. We are allowed to be ******* ****ed off at the lot of you.
  5. It is bitterly cold down here now that winter has hit. Down to an icy 22C last night so if she plans sitting out side in the evening near the sea she'll need a fleece or something...... Dress code - when she is not on stage - ie airport - hotel - gig etc AUH is more conservative than Dubai but same rules apply. Get out the hotel - get into taxi - get to venue. Leave Venue - get into taxi - get out at hotel - NO problem and can wear what she likes. But in PUBLIC it is different - So IF visiting a shopping mall/passing immigration etc she should wear T-Shirt NOT a "strappy top" (ie cover shoulders) - on stage is no problem. Equally no mini-skirts / micro shorts in public. Her Event organisers will tell her what she can and cannot say on stage. Banter here has to be a little different. Take photos of scenery/buildings etc but NOT of people, and especially NOT Arab women/families Not just "never give the finger" but also NEVER swear at anyone from this part of the world Cannot drink alcohol on stage while performing Beef or Turkey Bacon for breakfast - just don't bother it REALLY tastes like sh1t. All Dubai & Abu Dhabi taxis are metered and most are now safe unless she gets in the back with her bits hanging out & vomitting (ie like most Brit women on a weekend) She'll have a great time but you need to check which City she is actually in - it's 180km between the two. 100 quid taxi fare if she lands in the wrong one! Oh and never, ever, EVER trust anyone in Hospitality/Events and NEVER do anything on credit for/with them.
  6. Rolling Stones in Abu Dhabi 21st Feb. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. General admission just under 100 quid - that's a record for here. (US$1000 for standing at the front FFS!) I of course got my General Admission in the pre-sale.... Interesting for us is the news that Virgin are promoting a 2 day "festival" here the week before - Redfest. Not that exciting for me but interesting that they are using some of the language from other V or Redfest events and at least appear to be bringing over acts that aren't musical dinosaurs... 20 Acts two stages - interesting to see who they add to the list, also 70 quid for a 2 day pass compared to the Stones.. (Who are a bargain at any price over here)
  7. Yep, that's golf......
  8. I just don't understand why spunky knobs re-incarnate themselves and come back as spunky knobs. Wasn't it Einstein who said that Doing the same dumb thing and hoping for a different outcome was trying to play golf? or something
  9. Translates as Oh fook we have only sold HOW many for Saturday? Help>?
  10. Bearsy is clearly Tokyo Saint or is that vice versa?
  11. I'm sure that the decision with regard to Abu Dhabi is nothing to do with the "sponsors" wanting to ensure that they receive the maximum global TV coverage, and everything to do with making F1 more competitive. Hell if they wanted to do that why mess with the formula? Just ban Red Bull & Vettel for a year or so
  12. That MUST be Sibley in the front row left wearing a Saints Scarf..........
  13. The Cups must now be regarded as the vehicle in which our Youngsters are blooded. The further we go (with a smattering of experienced pros around them) the more of them should get a start. The Conveyor belt must keep running and give the kids that first step. We saw glimpses on Saturday from Harry Reed when he came on as sub, the game time in the Carling Cup meant that we actually had a kid on the bench who was ready to come and do a job for the team. Equally, the cup gave Cork & Hooiveld at least SOME football and apart from the one mistake, neither looked out of place at the Emirates or against Citeh. Gallagher should certainly start against Burnley as should Reed & Chambers, along with any of the first team who are short of game time. IF we create the squad by adding quality youth and a few players better than we have, within a year or so our "Cup Squad" will be better than a number of promoted clubs' first teams. It's what happens when you plan and keep hold of talent, but they WILL need games, and the first team WILL need more rotation.
  14. Meh Cork & Gaston will be first choice 1st teamers by then as might Harry Reed.
  15. Ah the Professionalism. The uniformity of Body Language as the new Management team commit to the future. The excitement is etched on their faces at what the future will bring for this new dream team. I would be so buzzed and motivated by that if I was a skate. Still, on the plus side, this year, I have not needed to go Xmas shopping. I just send my family and friends links to this thread. Where else in the world, at this time of year could you find another gift that keeps giving?
  16. Couple of comments. Go back 8 years or so, then mention must be made of the actual coaches who brought the different age groups through, Dave Puckett being one of them. When you look at that picture of that under 8 side then you KNOW there was a change of some kind to the days when the kids were brought in from outside. The other really big difference now is "Spirit" or "The Southampton Way" - this is not just a "way of playing" but a sense of togetherness, or Team Spirit. The core of our team has been together now for a long time. It is the primary difference between the likes of us and Citeh or Chelsea. Now the kids are playing with their mates, and are around a core group of players who have been on our crazy journey back from the depths of L1. Newbies are coming into a real GROUP. When we played Citeh at the weekend we were a football TEAM, they were a collection of stars. ManUre built their success on the class of 92. Maybe in 2 or 3 years we will be hearing about the class of 13.... The NEW framework means that the kids can stay with their mates, they aren't just cattle being mass produced by the PLC. Lowe's dream was real (and we derided him for it) the wacky ideas of Woodward were real - vision coaches, sports science, preparation - and we are now starting to hear how some of those ideas will come to reality (the new training pitches with different types of grass to represent the type of surface we will play on in away games. Lowe's PROBLEM was that anyone wanting to invest in the club had to pay a premium because of the value of the shareholders. Want to buy the club? 30 million please, THEN you can invest in the team. The ideas were there, as were many of the people, the execution was just screwed by the handcuffs that got us St Mary's

  18. Arrived at Barasti after spending the day chasing fit young chicks at the Golf (TMS please note I did mention the Thai Porn Star who actually won) Guzzled several beers before the game to ease the pain of what I was convinced would be a 3 or 4 goal tonking by Citeh. Had that "oh well here we go" moment when they scored after 9 minutes and we started debating whether Gazza had actually ever saved a shot on target. And then...... We just kept playing, kept the belief and if anything with Cork in the middle we moved the ball a bit quicker, less passes went astray, fewer "Supertanker paced turns into trouble" and - hang on we're playing quite good football. WTF is going on? Suddenly we seem to be tearing them a new one. Hands flying to our heads as we keep missing chances, still expecting to concede another soft goal and yet we didn't. In reality, this morning I am actually disappointed because we REALLY should have won that comfortably again. We REALLY should take our chances better. For me Cork was immense, an absolute bundle of energy, great game and on any other day a shoe in for MoM. But for me it had to be Chambers. When he played at the start of the season he seemed to be Safety first, never quite seemed to push on, never had the confidence to try and get past a player even with a touch and go. Yesterday saw a different side to him and the development is amazing. IF ONLY he had buried that header, but in the slo-mo replays he actually did really well to get to the ball. So having expected a stuffing, I'm sitting here with the feeling that we actually threw two points away yesterday. Oh, and did we actually see Harry Reed pull off some kind of Messi/Ronaldo-esque step-over/drag back near the end?
  19. Fookin worldy. Txts coming in frm mates around the world how are your reserves tearing citeh apart? We'll still get d1cked
  20. Well, thanks Bearsy. It'll beat working at McD's that's for sure.
  21. I have an invite to a party tomorrow. Free booze and 140 chicks with about 40 blokes. Over 60% of the chicks will be batting for the other side and "dancing" together........... And instead, I am going down the pub with the rest of the Dubai Massive as we are the only game on tv here at 3pm UK tomorrow. I Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo know I am going to regret the decision to watch the football.
  22. IF the cricket is as bad as we all expect tomorrow Porna & Louise should be on Sky Sports from around 8 or 9 am. Have to say I wouldn't be kicked out the house by Mrs D_P for playing a round with Stacy Lewis either - after all she is well rich being #3 in the word at the moment
