Our entire CULTURE is now about the future, or did you miss the 24mil investment in the Academy and training facilities? The "Football Management Machine" decided Gazza was better cover than anything else they could find in the summer, and probably they couldn't find anyone better than Boruc. So IF they thought Gazza was good enough, IF they saw something in him, then in 2 or 3 years when Boruc is moving on or losing it, they believe we COULD have a replacement already in the ranks (Gazza or Cropper) With an eye to the club culture you have to play Gazza now. 6 weeks to prove he is as good as everyone thought If Gazza is as sh1t as some on here fear then someone should get fired for NOT bringing in back-up we needed in the summer.

Well, here we are up to episode something or other. And all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle are back in play. No spoilers, but it is getting MUCH better and TBH there was even some proper acting in it this week. The shift has been very subtle into what it is really about. Think the next week or two could get quite dare I say it? Exciting

We are building for the future. KD is not the future. Gazza COULD be. I hate myself for this but I'd pick Gazza.

While not the same words obviously, but I do recall many comments like this last season. About JRod. The closing down yesterday was not done as a GROUP - now maybe that means that SRL is the "Leader" who starts that process off - (Read the Morgan Interview for how that works). Then yesterday whilst JWP put in a great running around shift, his crossing/timing/longer balls were "not as good as usual" Add in the fact that Chelsea defended quite deep and VW & MS did not get as far forward in the second half and we then see Osvaldo either having to drop deep for the ball or trying to out jump Terry & Cahill for longer balls played into him. I think that in the games when we get more possession higher up the field and ping the ball around the penalty area the close flicks & nudges of his play would be more useful. Yesterday he was up against the two strongest CB's in the PL. While he had the pace to cause them problems Chelsea blocked us out so well. My "Official Statement" on the matter is that I see his issue as more a JRod (LAST SEASON) than a Gaston this.

Felt the pace and movement of their front 3 gave us all sorts of problems in 1st half. How they set up with Essien in midfield meant that our MF was trying to play balls in to our front 3 from much further away than usual. Their pace at the back also nullified the runs of JRod, and coupled with JWP being just slightly off on his crossing/passing. We did hang on well and apart from one Supertanker-esque turn by VW he had a fine start to the game. Then after he got clattered (seemed a thigh injury) he seemed to vanish. First half, Ramirez should have been booked for persistent fouling (the ref actually gave at least 4 Free Kicks against him so add the number that weren't given....) and then should also have been booked for diving. Then start of the second half we seemed to get our tempo back and pinged the ball around for fun. We give away a fee kick and Clyne is ball watching in front of JT and we get blown away. Oddly although he had been rubbish, felt that the Chelsea shape at the start of the 2nd half helped us. Looked good but again lobbed balls into the box against JT & Cahill then I don't care whether you are Osvaldo, Messi or Ronaldo combined you aren't going to get anywhere near the ball. Overall the game showed we are still a great technical team. But to break into the top 4 we need to move that ball around even quicker. We also (I hate to say it) need to cheat more as the amount of diving by Chelsea players was atrocious. On the Gazza issue, does he have a left hand? Their goal was going away from him and would have needed a superhuman effort to reach it, BUT he may have had an extra few inches of reach & time without the mid air twist to try and get his right hand to the ball. (The "steal/save" he made off the top of a Chelsea head was - one handed). Luckily he then showed consistency by not getting his arm fully extended again when beaten for the 3rd. Whether you can blame him or not for the goal it DID look like he didn't even try to stretch for it. Perhaps the grief would have been left if at least he had been full out? Anyway he is all we have no loan keeper (except from Barca) is going to come in and play from the back comfortably so he's gonna have to get game time. Stand up & support him. Now VERY concerned that it could take us a long time (early Feb) to get the next 18 points we need to guarantee safety.

No Way, Impossible. Saints Prog hasn't even had the photo of Eric in it yet? Must have shot their load a week too early

In other news today, former Portsmouth Manager elect Diego Maradona went to extraordinary lengths to make sure that nobody from pcfc could find him. He is presumed to have said "I am very worried that due to their financial situation they will be using their mobile phones from 4 years ago that could quite probably have my number on them. I want to make sure nobody can locate me and try and blackmail me into taking that job on

We have one of those already. Sam Gallagher

Yeah, remove the price tag completely and go back 4 to 5 years or more and you can almost imagine recalling that description being aimed at Lallana. Cork is interesting, he is "better than a squad player" but not as good as VW or Morgan. Normally he would expect to get games through injuries and suspensions. But in the thread about Morgan's interview on our tactics and back office staff he mentioned the Medical/Physio team and the extra work that had been done on certain muscle groups of the players and (fingers crossed, touch wood, insh'allah; so far the level and nature of injuries has been low)

Not a good day for Sao Paulo. This sad news and losing out on several billions worth of money by coming last in the bidding for Expo 2020

Rickie Lambert: Sports Personality of the Year?
dubai_phil replied to jawillwill's topic in The Muppet Show
If he gets a double ton at Adelaide then Glasgow may be out of pocket -
Yes. I also know that this article focuses on the Pubs line. AJS have been under "attack" for all angles for a while and this is the first to press. The Online will be next target and is a major part of the PL's gripe Will stick the other articles up when I find them again (Basically these are re-hashes from a Daily Fail article the actual PL statement is less specific)

Looks like this will be an insolvable problem. Typical Brit "everyone does things the way we do mentality" as EVERY other part of the world has multiple choice of Set top Boxes and Satellites to tune into so we have multiple smart card slots. There is NO WAY Al Jiz will agree to supply secure boxes (like Sky) and without that there is no way to secure the Smart Cards The Killer is that the ACTUAL rights holders aren't even Al Jiz, it is some very obscure ME based company. Al Jiz simply won a tender from THEM to show the games. I foresee a long and complex Law Suit. I foresee ALL the people who have paid legitimate subscriptions getting screwed and a lot of Pubs getting raided in the UK. When the simple answer is to just show every bloody game live on subscription direct to PLTV from anywhere in the world & let the Global Service Providers stick to re-broadcasting on Satellite

Just wanted to drop in and say I Told You So. And Thanks you *********** for screwing up OUR coverage of PL games. Several million people across the Middle East who paid for the service have now had it taken away. No refund no consumer laws, just screwed over (please note, the above rant was issued on behalf of ME based fans of all teh clubs who's games were NOT shown on Saturday. We don't give a flying camel 'cos we saw our game ) http://www.sport360.com/football/al-jazeera-sports-epl-rights-hit-row-over-uk-access So as stated previously. Be careful shelling out money in advance, the Innernet Police are on the case

Ah THAT's who he was. Knew I recognised him but hadn't bothered to go goggle & wiki the show yet. Gareth - big comedown from co-starring with Johnny Depp in Pirates, OR the show has big plans,,,,,,,,,, The online dating gag in 2nd show is a bit obvious but amusing. Think clever fitteh in the office shows promise.

Meh, it happened in the UK. He'll win a couple of hundred grand compensation as his employer didn't provide facilities and the Ambulance chaser will pocket 80% of it -
Arrrrrgh.... Although doesn't Tokes know someone who would become his/her biggest fan?
