We should never have lost to them.

I'm yet to see him make anything other than routine saves. He doesn't inspire much confidence in me and is slow off his line. When we signed him I thought he'd be better, but having seen him play in a run of games I'm not convinced at all.
-
After yesterday this seems like even more of a good idea

He had, what, 3 bad games in a row last season? If that's enough to make you unable to stand him then you are quite clearly the sort of unnecessarily reactionary fan that is so prevalent in modern football. He happened to finish the month of December by scoring at Palace and helping us to an excellent win. Seriously, what is wrong with people that their opinions of players go from one extreme to another all the time? How about trusting in the coaches and management to help players out of a bad run of form and supporting them while they might be in one?

Glad that Koeman didn't take the advice of those on the pre match thread and drop Pelle. He made Terry and Cahill look like a couple of League 1 cloggers.

That was amazing. We completely outplayed them all over the pitch. Our fans were excellent as well, pretty much non stop singing from start to finish. Chelsea on the other hand had the worst sort of half and half scarf wearing football tourists you'll ever see. Massive amounts of selfie stick knobbery and goons carrying bags full of official merchandise. I'm so glad we don't have to put up with that at St Mary's every home game.

The quality in the Dutch team has dropped off massively in the past few years. Our squad is full of bang average players.

Yeah, drinking by the pitch is a crucial element in that decision! I wasn't aware of the rule change at Conference South level, it's most disappointing. It just wouldn't be the same for the bearded craft IPA fans at Dulwich if they got promoted.
-
Similarly I look out for teams my best friends support which are Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers and Tranmere. I've been in the away end at Fratton to see all of them win, 2 of them with last minute goals.

One thing I'll never understand is following a foreign club. I don't see the attraction in getting excited about a team playing in a country you'll rarely, if at all, visit. It's mostly a baseless affinity. I might decide to just support Bayern Munich because they are good and them winning a lot makes me feel good about myself.

Decent prices like that should guarantee a near sell out.

They are doing pretty well this season in Conference South. Pretty much sell out every week at home and have just extended the main stand to increase attendances. Their 3G pitch is a massive benefit to the club and community. I was reading an article about Dulwich recently where it stated some supporters don't want them to be promoted and are comfortable with the level they are playing at. Would you say this is true for most fans there? It does all begin to get quite cutthroat one step below the Conference and the money that is needed to stay competitive puts many clubs in a difficult position. I don't understand why more people don't get out and watch local non league. I'd much rather nip up the road to watch Sholing than sit on the sofa watching Champions League.

We're just really really ridiculously good looking

I thought this was going to be about the players because we definitely have a few fitties. -
I was born in Maidstone so have a soft spot for them and watch maybe 5 of their games a season, mostly away games about an hour drive from here. Also go and watch Eastleigh a fair bit but I really couldn't give a toss if they win or not. I just like going to live matches.

Following on from the mobility scooters giveaway idea, I'd like to see the half time relay race done on them. The last two having to dribble that big ball into the net by driving the scooters across the pitch. Fighting while on the scooters is positively encouraged, they could even be modded to include weapons. Rather than watching a bunch of snotty kids run around the pitch which is only ever entertaining when a fatty is competing, let the proper fans who have been following the club for 60 odd years have their chance to entertain the crowd. If one of them happens to die then so be it. At least they will have popped off in their favourite place and end up immortalised in Southampton FC history.

I have none of these problems because I deleted my account years ago.

Anyone unfortunate enough to have been on the same train to London as rugby fans heading to Twickenham will echo those sentiments. Most over privileged, stuck up, arrogant idiots I've come across. It's fine for them to behave like ****s though because they are posh.

Has to be Pelle. Rodriguez may have looked good at MK Dons but so would have I.
-
Hopefully they'll pick up a couple of injuries tomorrow night.

Buy up as much land around the stadium and redevelop it Introduce free match day travel within the local area Get a decent tannoy system Ban anyone turning up in wacky hats, wigs, foam hands Offer Mane £300k a week to stay for the rest of his career

At least we don't have to put up with watching us on the shambolic C5 Football League show.

It was a poor effort at a joke.
