Hahaha. Remember when Dave Beasant dropped a jar of salad cream on his foot and missed a game?
  2. You'll probably need to have previous purchase history to buy normal tickets, however if you can stretch to corporate seats you'll get in as they seem to sell them to anyone.

He told me on Sunday, so presumably before.

    Injury Watch

A saints player fell off his scooter after the front wheel collapsed and has got an injury. The bloke who told me this didn't know who it was but has passed on decent info before. I'd like to believe it's true just for the sheer bizarreness of the injury.
  5. Steve Grant, with all decisions decided by polls on here. What could go wrong?
  6. Lee Peacock. Presumably Liverpool are training at Eastleigh.
  7. If your son is a goalkeeper the best thing you can buy him is training lessons. There's a few very good organisations around Southampton who provide it. My son has been going for over a year now and the difference in his technique is outstanding. I can give you some details if you want. The top 2 products on this website are both good. The Kickster goals are well worth buying, they can be put up and taken down in a couple of minutes and taken anywhere. I'd suggest buying a mini soccer size one so he gets used to the angles for when he plays matches. http://www.thekeeper.co.uk/suppliers.php Other than that the tennis ball against a wall is an excellent way to practice catching. A lot of coaches stress the importance of footwork for young keepers now so get a set of cones, watch some YouTube videos of pro keepers training and get him to copy their footwork.
  8. Mane will definitely be going to Old Trafford in January. On the 23rd, when we play Man Utd away.
  9. Spurs forum must be full of people who always rated Pochettino smugly calling out all those who wanted him sacked not that long ago. And there were plenty of them. Football fans not knowing anything about football shock.
  10. There certainy aren't many. Others I recall are Fonte's equaliser against Sunderland, and you could maybe count Gallagher's against Norwich in the 4-2 game when we were 3-0 up with 5 minutes to go and gifted them 2 goals before we broke away and sealed the game..
  11. He's not much use when we bring him on 5 minutes from the end when all we're interested in doing is lumping the ball in the air.
  12. Presumably Long will play up front next week? He did little yesterday but wasn't the only one. Personally I thought Bertrand was particuarly poor. Amazes me that Mane was on the bench, other players managed to fly back from far away International games and start. We were baffling sluggish in the first half, sat back worryingly, and it was no surprise we went behind. To me it seemed strange to substitute Claise who was the one player who had a decent game. I would have put Mane on at half time for Long.
  13. Their view: http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/250381/scfc-southampton-match-previews-reviews Apparently we have annoying fans and only sing one song. Well, they have that half right - we have at least 2 songs.
  14. Can you upload to card if you move seats? I ordered ours online and only had a choice of collect or post. We had them through ages ago but then I bought them within the first few days of sale.
  15. We've moved from Family Stand to the centre of the Itchen. Good chance to sit over that side for a change and see Koeman and the coaches at work close up.
  16. Sad news. While I disagreed with some of his opinions and the way he chose to deliver them he was a totally comitted fan who dedicated his life in support of the club over a long period of time. RIP
  17. You don't need to leave early to do that.
  18. Personally I don't see what super important commitments the thousands of people who leave early can all have on a Saturday at 5pm. As said before there will always be a few who really have to be somewhere but the fact is a ridiculous number of fans are streaming for the exits with loads of the game still left.
  19. You're still being a tedious c.unt then?
  20. He controlled the game, barely put a foot wrong. Obviously Sunderland are a bit crap but he was excellent.
  21. Sat in the Strawberry outside St James Park. I thought we were excellent, they were horrible and look like relegation certainties on that performance. Totally dominant from start to finish, only surprise was we didn't score more. Clause was superb and ran the midfield. I only saw one misplaced pass from him in the whole game. VVD was sublime again. What a signing.
  22. In the airport bar on the way to Newcastle. All the ales are off so I'm having to drink horrible lager while they play Snow Patrol. This sort of bad start to the weekend can only mean we'll lose. It's barely even worth me getting on the plane now.

    Good luck

Nice use of Twin Peaks. Less fussed about the song.
  24. A whole 2 people were arrested on Sunday and 4 were ejected from the stadium. Not the sort of figures that will concern anyone.
