  1. Liverpool are bottom of the U21 league with 1 win all season, and judging by the start of this game they were lucky to get that.
  2. Liverpool look completely awful.
  3. Forster been training hard all week according to commentator on the U21 game.
  4. Interesting post AllSorts. Thanks for that.
  5. Clause never plays 90 minutes. Presumably he doesn't have the fitness to last the whole game.
  6. Eastleigh, Pompey & Bournemouth all in the hat for the 4th round while our season is finished in January. Marvellous.
  7. Their second goal was 2 errors. Firstly Tadic dived in and allowed Puncheon to cut inside and shoot. The second mistake was with Stekelenberg either not pushing the ball over the bar, or at more of an angle to the side. We were ok today. Dominated possession until Yoshida gifted the ball to Puncheon in a dangerous area and then once we'd made changes at half time we caused them quite a few problems. Stek had no more saves to make whereas Hennessey made 2 or 3 excellent stops.
  8. Took the kids to get the players autographs this morning. A few of them now get dropped off out the front of the ground and go in the front entrance rather than come along and sign autographs with the others which is pretty rude to be fair, especially when the kids are stood waiting in this weather.
  9. I was once threatened with arrest in the Archers for singing something about Berkovic after he'd joined West Ham. When I pointed out to the copper that about 1000 other people were also singing it he turned around and said "but you're nearest"
  10. Palace around 4/1 to win, which given our current form seems generous although I'm predicting an inconvenient draw.
  11. http://m.dailyecho.co.uk/news/14190228.Saints_fans_banned_for__sickening_abuse__and_Nazi_style_salutes/?ref=mr&lp=2
  12. Not a lot. We only pay for any Officers in the ground and we rarely have a great deal of them.
  13. It's all we have left to play for so we need to go balls out for the win. Fortunately we appear to have caught Palace at a reasonably good time as they have dropped off somewhat after their good start and haven't scored in 3 games.

    Injury Watch

Where was Romeu yesterday, is he injured?
  15. The fans view of Wanyama can be judged by the lack of current singing for him. A few tried to get his chant going yesterday but it was roundly ignored. As you say he's had loads of support from us but hasn't acknowledged it at all and is often first down the tunnel after the final whistle. I don't expect all players to applaud the fans like Tadic during the game but Vic clearly couldn't give a flying crap about us so it's only right that is reciprocated.
  16. People around us were shouting for Reed to come on as soon as that useless **** Wanyama decided he'd had enough of strolling around the centre circle and passing like a 9 year old. It was obvious we needed someone who could put themselves about in the midfield but it took at least 5 minutes for Reed to even be told to warm up. Whatever Mane did, we need to win and he's our most likely game changer so should have been brought on for Tadic after about 60 minutes because he wasn't in the game 2nd half.
  17. Arca and Sufjan Stevens both make my list. As do the following: Kill West - Smoke Beach Thee Oh Seas - Mutilator Defeated at Last Oneohtrix Point Never - Garden of Delete Low - Ones and Sixes Westkust - Last Forever Menace Beach - Ratworld Synkro - Changes Kathryn Joseph - Bones You Have Thrown Me...
  18. 17 shots to Luton's 4 and 13 corners to 0. Taking those into account it means a win if you go by the 5 a side summer tournament rules we used to play as kids.
  19. Looks like he meant it to me. Took the ball just on the half volley, using the pace of the pass to lift it over Howard. Impudent.
  20. As for the game, we won it by Long and Mane pressing from the front, squeezing the play and denying them space to get Ozil into decent positions. Add their ponderous, sluggish CB's into the mix and our midfield working their collective nuts off and you have the recipe for a win. After some fair recent criticism Koeman showed just how good a manager he can be last night.
  21. Griffo has a point, however sadly this is now prevalent at most, if not all top flight grounds. Check highlights of most goals scored by the home teams and you'll see people clapping politely like they've just witnessed a batsman time an on drive for 4 on the first morning of a test match. Proper celebrations are the preserve of a hardy few blocks and the away fans.
  22. I've been quite enjoying the advent calendar stuff. Strange mix of players involved, Wanyama seems to be on a lot, no sign of Tadic at all. It was good to see all the players getting right in to the chimney challenge. Amusing that VVD was so bad at it and all the outfield players were owned by a goalkeeper.
  23. If Arsenal play anything like they are tonight we'll be lucky to keep it under 5.
  24. We've got a decent record against them in recent times. Southampton 1-4 Arsenal.
  25. The second. Some believe the managerial style is too relaxed and others are getting away with not pulling their weight. Maybe Koeman's comments after the game mean this will stop.
