I hope we smash them like I hope we smash every team we play. I couldn't give a flying **** if it stops them winning the title, makes no odds to me who wins it.

Happy birthday to me too. I'm sure Ron is stoked he gets to share his big day with me.
-
That's amazing. Fair play to the kid, and I hope one day you can celebrate his debut for the first team.

He looked a bit lost in the first half as the game went on around him. Poor chap. I'm sure he'll learn from it though.

I'd say he more exaggerates than flat out dives. When he's clipped he likes to roll around and then limp about for a bit so everyone knows he got a kick rather than just getting on with it. He's definitely nowhere near the sort of diver Mane was when he first arrived.

Hampshire and Thames Valley have a lot of joint operations nowadays. Probably wouldn't have cost much at all.

Just remembered hearing the "Yoshida ate my dog" chant. Anyone got the full words to it, I couldn't pick out the middle bit.

Sigurdsson? He's been at Swansea a while and might be looking for a move. We could do with an attacking midfielder who is a bit more clinical in front of goal.

I agree, lock the thread. There's absolutely no need to discuss our players on a Southampton FC football forum.

Either I didn't receive a text or I'm shunning you after you neglected to spaff on my back. One of those is true. -
He's been playing well in the past few months but considering any player other than Van Dijk as player of the season is impossible.

Have to say I was very surprised at how well we played after the last 2 poor performances. Stoke were very careless in possession in the first half and we made them pay. I feared the worst when they scored but other than a couple of chances we restricted them to long shots before they got desperate and started lumping it to Crouch. Their fans are weird, after years of clogging opponents they get all uppity when one of their players gets a nudge. They really had it in for Martina in the first half who I thought had his best game for us. Pelle was excellent, that chat Koeman had with him after his horrible sub performance against Chelsea has worked. None of his silly flicks, strong hold up play and 2 good finishes. As above Bertrand deserves a lot of credit. That has to be the first time I've seen Saints play with 2 CB's who are so comfortable on the ball which made playing out of defence much easier. VVD was as excellent as normal and I thought Romeu was strong in the middle. Long caused them problems all match with his running in the channels. Apart from his bizarre non-shot I thought Tadic was decent and it was a blatant penalty. Up until the last 10 minutes Lee Mason wasn't as bad as normal and in fact let play carry on a few times when I expected him to give free kicks to Stoke. He then lost the plot completely with the penalty and red card which was clearly a joke.

The Combat 18 tattoo is on my butt, which incidentally is where I've been sat all day to avoid having to walk after my first game in over a year. The scoreline seems tight but because at least 4 of Rallyboy's goals were toe punts they have retrospectively been disallowed under FA rules which state that no player over the age of 9 can legitimately score in this way. -
Sunderland deserved to concede that last gasp goal for singing Achey Breaky Heart for 10 minutes non stop.
-
Also fair play to most of the kids with the clackers for realising they are ****e and binning them off.
-
That goal was a big **** you to all the ****s who left on 84 minutes when they scored. It's tough playing with a front 3 who are out of sorts but there were sporadic signs that they were playing themselves back into some kind of form. Pelle held the ball up better and sacked off the stupid flicks. Mane was more lively than in recent games and Tadic picked out some decent passes. Credit to the team for grinding out a point when behind and down to 10 men. Bertrand had a great first half, Van Dijk was his normal classy self and Romeu had a solid game. Unfortunately Claise never got into the match at all and Davis was reasonably anonymous. We'll have to up our level against Stoke somewhat if we are to gain anything out of that match.

Why not have legalised brothels? Licences, regular health checks, proper employment rights. If people want to sell bodies and someone wants to pay them for it I don't see what the problem is.

Loads of people stood on the Itchen Bridge earlier watching, some of them dressed up in old war clothes.

We didn't come up with it. For one Leicester were singing it about Cambiasso long before we started.

Chelsea was good but it should be when you're 3-1 up. Would have been great with the full allocation.
