Was just chatting to a bloke who coaches at Oxford, they basically had a bunch of kids playing for them. He was very proud of their team for putting in a great performance against a comparatively strong Saints team. He was also praising the facilities at Staplewood and said the pitches were as good as any he's ever seen.

Most of that article appears to be an advert for Greggs. They do love their pastries in the midlands.

The Vine gets absolutely rammed before the game to the point where it's actually quite hard to navigate your way around it and getting a beer can take ages. Maybe it is quieter after but I've never been in for a post match pint.

He wasn't being that negative about Pelle, just pointing out that he feels he is somewhat limited compared to some of their previous strikers. In all fairness he is correct. Turn left at the big roundabout and there's plenty of street parking around by the Vine pub if you get there early enough. Can be a pain getting out after though. Highly enjoyable. We looked like a team again rather than the bunch of directionless players we saw on Thursday. Tadic was almost unplayable in the first half. Romeu was class throughout. Koeman must have been in his ear about diving in recklessly because he started doing what Morgan did so effectively, nicking the ball off players toes and making interceptions. His distribution was also a level above anything we've seen from him previously. Only downside was us not getting another goal because I had a couple of quid on Pelle 4-0 at 150/1.

At least the sound of the clackers will cover up all the idiots tutting and groaning when we misplace a pass.

Europe seems more appealing than ever and reaching the group stages would be a great achievement for the club. Go and ask the players if they'd rather play Europa games or not, judging from interviews the answer is an overwhelming "yes".

If Arsenal were going to spend that much on a defensive midfielder then they surely would have bid for Morgan.
