Playing on Sunday is a pain for various reasons. One being clashes with tyro league games, the other being that aways aren't as enjoyable with the threat of work hanging over you while hammered on a train at 10pm. We wouldn't have them if not for the ludicrous scheduling of Europa League on a Thursday.

Home on Boxing Day please. Gives me the perfect excuse to give a visit to the in laws a swerve. Would also like a home fixture on 5th September so I can avoid a wedding I have no interest in going to. It's easier to explain because I have 2 kids to take rather than not going because I'm on the lash in Stoke.

The only games south of Birmingham are London ones and Swansea if I'm being geographically correct. Throw Bournemouth into the mix next season but that will obviously be a tough one to get tickets for. If people don't want to buy membership but still want tickets then try asking on here. Plenty will help out when they can.

It's only the 'big' away games and London ones where we have a clamour for tickets that leads to problems getting them on general sale. People who moan about having problems getting tickets either aren't trying hard enough or are lying.

Do Newcastle pay much bigger wages than us now? Unless they do I can't see much reason for someone choosing them over us.

Just got back from a tournament at Stoneham. Glad I was watching local under 9's rather than what sounded like a predicitable, lacklustre international friendly. I think I enjoyed England games more when our players weren't in them - I had no need to feign interest then.

I was at that Leyton Orient game stood with the away fans. There was definitely more than 3000 there, although through the tears of laughter I do remember plenty of spare seats knocking about. I went in the away end a few times during late 90's. Saw them lose to a last minute goal against Tranmere (inevitably from a Dave Challinor long throw) after the away side had been battered for most of the game. I was also spotted on tv by a Pompey fan from work celebrating a last minute Bristol Rovers winner behind the goal in a 3-2 classic. My favourite game was an end of season 4-2 loss to Palace when both teams were struggling at the bottom of the Championship. Pompey fans were throwing season tickets on the pitch, and one chap set fire to his shirt. My Palace mate got thrown out twice (once for running on the pitch, once for verbally abusing a fat female steward) and a fellow Saints fan I was with cut himself celebrating and wrote SFC on the white wall at the front of the Milton End in blood. I've seen some funny games there, sadly none of them involving Saints who I've seen gain a miserable 1 point from 9. (1-4, 0-1, 1-1)

There were some right goons in Bucharest. One bloke I saw being a complete tool out there walked past me after the Aston Villa game with his kid while getting a load of grief from his wife. I laughed.

Put a few different bets on Villa to win which will cover the annoyance of us not getting to Europe if they do. I liked the Arsenal half time Villa full time odds of 60/1.
