  1. The Bridge was great. I really must watch the second series. Broad City is apparently very funny, starts on Comedy Central tonight.
  2. Any truth in the rumour their firm is known as the Blue Rinse Brigade?
  3. It's a joke. I love Bill Hicks and it made me laugh. Lee likes to slag off his audience for coming to see him but he doesn't mean it, it's done for effect.
  4. Anyone buying a half Saints half Bournemouth scarf should get an instant ban from all football.
  5. One South coast derby There's only one South coast derby One South coast derby There's only one South coast derby Worked well enough last time when they got all excited about playing us. I'll personally give £10 to everyone who doesn't predictably sing "I've got a shed" when we play there.
  6. 2 decent away days sorted with Bournemouth and Watford. Selfishly hoping Middlesbrough don't join them.
  7. Some of the best Infant and Primary schools in Southampton are in what some may consider some of the less desirable areas. Would people move to Sholing for the sole reason that their kids could go to the Infant school? I guess not. Maybe it was just us but we decided where to live based on a number of factors, none of which included schools.
  8. Nice move. Pity I can't go because my son is playing in a tournament at St Mary's that day and sadly I can't miss that in favour of a weekend on the lash in Manchester.
  9. Schools can get better or worse quickly, often due to a change of head. People often blabber on about certain schools being bad but there really aren't many that are completely terrible. I quite like the fact I live in a village where everyone just goes to the same school. Makes things very easy.

    Danny Ings

His goal against Chelsea was from further out than all our goals this season added together.
  12. Come on Bolton. I have a couple of quid on them at 12/1.

    Danny Ings

I don't remember many from last season. A couple of Lambert free kicks, Rodriguez's amusing effort at Palace, Clyne in the cup against Burnley, Ramirez at Goodison. There were probably a few more but by no means loads.
  14. Must have been your group I heard saying Eastleigh were winning when we came inside. Nice pub, even if the bar staff seemed somewhat flustered by people ordering food on a Saturday lunchtime.
  15. Is that the Titanic pub? If so, yes.
  16. I can't stand it. Bring in retrospective action and ban blatant divers for a game or two. Most players will take a tumble under pressure at times but he does it so persistently that it's ridiculous.
  17. Anyway, we won't need to score from outside the box against Sunderland, we should be able to walk a few in against their defence.
  18. I saw a kid smash one in from miles out at in the mini soccer league at Stoneham last week. Maybe we should ask him to come in and teach them how to do it too?
  19. You are quite tiresome. Surprised you didn't slip something in there about how crap you think Tadic is.
  20. Like I keep telling myself to stop replying to cretins.
  21. They didn't even discuss it on MOTD. At first I thought he'd just run into it without really knowing what he was going on but the replays suggest there might have been more to it than that. Spurs didn't win.
  22. I'm not. Seriously, it's blindingly obvious that he's the better player. He's not only easily our best CB, he's our 3rd best midfielder and it's not even his position. He plays RB for one of the best national teams in the world and is about 6 years younger than Fonte. People can vote for who they want, doesn't mean they are right. Fonte's been great, has improved again this season. He's been with us from the bottom of League 1 and progressed to a decent Premier League player who has snuck into his national side. Many votes for him will be due to a mixture of that, the loyalty he's shown, his place as captain, his leadership and the fact he's played pretty much every game as opposed to Toby who spent a long time injured and isn't a Saints player. He's still miles better though.
  23. Their core support isn't more than a few hundred. I've been to maybe 7 or 8 of their games this season and always see plenty of Saints fans there. The low support is due to them traditionally playing a few leagues below the level they are now and most people in the town supporting Saints. Shows what lobbing a load of money at a non-league team can achieve if done right.
  24. Because Atletico will either a) have him back and use him in their team, or b) pay whatever amount of cash they need to pay to us and sell him to the highest bidder, which will either be a team in the Champions League, or one who will double his wages. I love the bloke, but there's no way he'd stay here unless, for some bizarre reason, no one else wants him.
  25. Exactly. Any scouting department worth it's salt would have known about him. He was at a team winning trophies in the top flight of their national league and competing in Europe who we paid over £10 million to acquire his services. It's not like he was under anyone's radar, we just happened to be the first team to stump up the cash to sign him.
