  1. I'd take Ings because as you say he's a Saints fan so would be prepared to sit on the bench week in week out, coming on for a few minures here and there, because he knows it's for the benefit of the team. You only have to look at his shot in the last home game which Davis saved. He cleverly put it just within reach of the keeper so he could pull off a decent save and get the fans on his side. Ings could easily have steared the shot inside the far post but didn't want to. That's how much he loves the club.
  2. I've already decided we are buying Charlie Austin so will be ignoring future links with any other strikers.
  3. People in liking uninspired middle of the road music shock. The thing is those people probably think her whole whacky persona makes her cutting edge. I'm tempted by George Clinton, Parliament and Funkadelic in Oxford in a couple of weeks. Was looking into seeing SFA but Brixton is a pain from here and and it's £35.
  4. I don't need to buy one because I got a restricted view ticket. Tell me his seat number and I'll happily stand in it for a better view though.
  5. It was a £50 fee last year wasn't it? There's so many credit cards with long term 0% balance transfers and minimal fees that anyone paying the admin fee through Saints is a tad silly anyway.
  6. Stewart Lee did a bit about observational comedians the other night, mimicking their funny walks and shouting jokes in attempt to extract humour from banal material. He was 100 times funnier than any of them.
  7. Gove's wife's articles in the Mail are equally as odious as him. Fortunately there's always Private Eye to make them both look silly: http://www.private-eye.co.uk/sections.php?section_link=hp_sauce
  8. I have that album. Just checked and it came out in 2000. They had quite a bit of heat behind them at one point, probably because they were on Mo Wax which was very much a trendy label at the time. Last released an album in 2008 which completely passed me by. Saw them at the Joiners not long after that first album came out. Their tour bus had broken down and only 2 of them made the gig after thumbing a lift while the drummer stayed with the bus.
  9. I've seen plenty of Mr Tumble in my time. In fact I was fortunate enough to see him perform live at a festival where a disconcertingly large amount of adults were going as crazy as the kids. I'm also aware of his work with Makaton. None of this however detracts from the possibility that he's a **** in real life! Mister Maker, on the other hand, is apparently the nicest bloke you could ever wish to meet.
  10. I haven't met him, but I know people who live in the same village as Mr Tumble and apparently he's a right ****. He counts as a comedian right? He makes small children laugh at the least.
  11. U11 tickets in the family stand are an absolute steal. My youngest wants to come next season too so I can now take 2 kids for less than it cost for one this season. Also U17 tickets are much cheaper which is a good move. I can't see how anyone can grumble about a price freeze and a well thought out change in pricing structure around the ground. Well done Saints.
  12. Wow, that's some gig. He did 3 of the 6 half hour shows on Friday plus an encore that wasn't an encore which we didn't have to have if we didn't want it. Subjects covered were Islamiphobia, Urine and Nationalism. There were some truly confused audience members who had obviously heard of him from TV and gone along with friends only to spend their evening wondering where the jokes were! Hey Stu, is this section of the half hour just you making weird noises? Yes.
  13. £00,000.01
  14. Even worse when your accumulator goes belly up due to a random result. Thanks Latvia.

Our midfield is quite laughable when compared to other big nations.
  16. Went to see Stewart Lee last night. I haven't laughed so hard and often at a comedy show in my life. He's doing a sort of work in progress tour to perfect the next series of his show which will be on at the end of the year. If last night was anything to go by it will be well worth a watch.

The media wank fest surrounding Harry Kane has given me an irrational dislike of the bloke to the point where I wouldn't mind seeing Wanyama snap him in half.
  18. The police did manage the A27 at the Navigator later on, not sure what time they started but they were definitely there. Can't understand why more people didn't just park up and get a train or walk home. Obviously this isn't achievable for everyone but a good few people I've spoken to today said they wished they had done that.
  19. Paxman has become a parody of himself. He's just embarassing now. No real substance to his questioning, just playing up to the crowd trying to make himself look good. All the parties have some dire policies. We know it, they know it.
  20. I thought Milliband did alright. He'll have my vote if he comes out and straight up calls Paxman a ****.
  21. Took my friend 3.5 hours to go 3 miles from Sholing to Hedge End. At least she got home unlike the poor sod who died in the crash.
  22. Only tickets we had according to the online ticket site were Lower Bullens and Paddock so it doesn't look like we have upper tier. Some of the views at Goodison are hilarious: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-supporters-reveal-shocking-obstructed-4199695
  23. Just logged on to buy a ticket and the only ones left are obstructed view in the Lower Bullens. We must have nearly sold out.
  24. Caused by this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-32063811 Just tried to take my son to his football training, it took 30 minutes to go less than a mile. Gave up and went back home. Pretty much the whole of Southampton is stuffed by all accounts.
  25. Weird phone based double post there.
