Page 10 of this thread is classic SaintsWeb. We were pretty average until they hit the bar and then the subs were made. After that we were well in control. Downes looks like an excellent signing. Fraser did well too considering his lack of match action. Lovely goal by Adam Armstrong for the winner. My son's old GK coach used to say Begovic had a technical difficiency when diving to his left due to the way he plants a foot and he was right.

At the very least this score means that no one will end up mentally scarred by having to witness me streak across the pitch at full time.

True, good point. Not sure who will want him. Can see him sitting out his contract here unless someone becomes desperate and matches his wages.
-
Not sure about Aribo as Martin has praised him previously after coming on as sub. Perraud will likely leave. As poor as Bree was against Gillingham he could be worth keeping at least until January as back up depending on what happens to KWP. Mara, yes I forgot him. Only worth keeping in case we draw Man City in the cup so he can carry on his weird scoring record against them!

What we desperately need to do now is clear out Lyanco, Djenepo and Onuachu. None of them are in the managers plans so get rid, even if on loan. This will stop the need for 2 training groups and allow them to bring the better youngsters into the main group at times. Is there anyone else clogging up the squad that I have forgotten?

Also likely to come down to how much money he was offered. He might have preferred to come here but if Leeds were willing to pay £10k a week more then it's a no brainer. The quotes about Leeds trying harder smack of them offering more cash, or a longer contract or whatever.

Quite clearly the club isn't the financial mess that some perceive it to be in if Smallbone has signed a new contract. No doubt we would have sold him if we were that desperate for cash. With him, Downes, Alcaraz and Charles we will surely have the best midfield options in the league. Les Reed was right, he just came out with that statement 7 years too early.

In the Family Stand the lights all went green so there was no way of distinguishing between tickets. I know this because I stood and watched a few times and saw kids and adults all come through with no difference. One of my mates often gave his kids season tickets to other mates and they always got in. Whether that's different in other stands I'm not sure.

Yes. We lost 3-0. Is that Koumas who scored for Liverpool the son of Jason? One good thing from the game was another half of football for Diamond Edwards on his comeback from injury.
-
I always thought he was a bit of bellend but if he does the business for us that will all be quickly forgotten. Hopefully we can see a picture of him stood next to Onuachu at some point.

Williams is terrible and seemingly a bit of a twat. I'm not overly fussed with Holgate but it's only a loan and he seemingly did pretty well in the Championship before.

I just scrolled through 4 or 5 pages at lunch laughing at this thread. Some of the posts are just hilarious. There's a weird thing on here which would never happen face to face where people jump on stuff others said and repeatedly use it to try and make them look silly. Looks to me that's what happened is one player has joined another club who most likely offered him more money. The window is open for ages still. So much will happen in the next week.

Yes, but she doesn't like football so you'll have to use your imagination!

Sounds like you already have seen it!

The added bonus of winning this is pissing off that prick Pete Doherty.

Would be a nice pick me up for the female fans to help them get over the disappointment of a draw at home to QPR.
-
If it's 0-0 I'll oil myself up and streak across the pitch at the final whistle.

Don't take this thread off topic any further please. Thank you.

Can we siphon off the tedious war related guff on this thread so that those of us who have to catch up after work don't have to wade through it all like we're actually in the Somme. Also find it weird that all the posts have been left untouched after a load were deleted from the Women's thread that were actually talking about the players and therefore far more relevant than people banging on about battlefields.

Looks like it could be

The best part about this article is that it translates one of the writers names into English as Eyelash The Lord's Bread.

Oh ok. I never watch Sky News, or any news really for that matter.

Why is a farmer with an MBE presenting Sky News? Don't they have any actual TV presenters? He seems like a bit of an idiot.

Great to get this sorted, a very exciting signing who knows the manager, the style of play and previously flourished with it. Some absolute class posts a few pages back. Not sure why anyone would think the manager was lying when he said he was coming, it's a totally different scenario to Ralph saying we would sign a striker. The agreement for this one was obviously in place a week or so ago.
