Woman raped and murdered by what is now the Mayflower, late 80s. Guy who lived 4 doors down from me when I was a kid hung himself and tried to burn the house down (wife/kids survived) I'm wondering if I'm a bad person to know as obviously I knew him, and by association the family in Fordingbridge. Brother knew the Grange Park family, the girl who was murdered in Allington Lane, and the lad who was stabbed in Woolston!

Amazing what you can find on Google: http://www.redcafe.net/f8/how-do-you-get-rid-kin-flu-thing-36495/

Just looked at FB, if you're talking about the one that's top of the search results and lots of Saints fan pages in her interests, no that's not her

No idea, sorry. Pleased to report that Fordingbridge is a Saints stronghold, benefits of having a decent amount of distance to avoid the stench from the lot down the road She was a chubby girl, reddish-brown hair...

Normal family, been together for years, tried for ages to have the kids. No worries in their lives as far as we knew. She ran a local nursery so this has touched a lot of people in the town directly. Completely inexplicable, I can't begin to imagine what happened to trigger this, he was just a typical family guy who worked hard for his wife and kids. I actually dreaded coming home last night and have a sick feeling in my bones that won't go away, this is a quiet happy place tucked away from this sort of thing

Hope she dies soon

BBC3 50 most shocking world cup moments

The fix in '82 was before the final - Germany & Austria carved up the final game to ensure both qualified at Algeria's expense. At least they are only remembered for Schumacher's attack on Batiston, whereas anyone who saw it live will only remember Italy vs Brazil (bizarrely a 4 o'clock kick off that I rushed home from school for) and of course Tardelli's goal celebration... -
Yeah, thanks for reminding me of the utter nightmare that was Olivier Bernard!

One of the anniversaries of the Cup win at The Dell, on the Archers, trying to sing my heart out for Bobby Stokes. Abide with Me @ Cardiff The sheer noise from St Marys in the SF against Wolves, when I started to believe we might be going to Cardiff and started thinking of my Grandad who wouldn't be there. Topping it all, saying goodbye to Marian... Firmly believe that if sport doesn't make you well up from time to time its not worth watching, its all about the emotion and the passion.

Given he was already a God there there really isn't a better player to have taken them to the promised land...

2 years under EC law for high value items like TVs and so on. You are entitled to a repair at their cost, or a replacement if they choose (its their choice) Quote EC directive 1999/44/EC at them and see what happens - all consumer goods are guaranteed for 2 years, end of debate. See http://ec.europa.eu/publications/booklets/move/64/en.pdf

Its likely to be the only way an F1 driver is killed - witness Henry Surtees accident last year, and there have been a couple in lower formulae where cars have rolled on top of armco or concrete walls and killed the driver

Gutted for them, mate of mine has been to every single game, including the away at Perm, and is there tonight. Spent an absolute fortune and I know he wouldn't have had it any other way. There's a great photo of the 20-odd Fulham fans who went to Perm waving sparklers in response to an almighty flare barrage from the home ultras, quality lol and sums the whole fairy story up.

May I direct concerned holiday makers to http://www.pocruises.com , http://www.cunard.co.uk , and http://www.princess.com ? * Quite why anyone would want to spend 3 hours getting through customs @ LHR or LGW is beyond me, particularly if they happen to live in Southampton and there are boats heading off to the sun most days of the week. Go on one of the bigger newer ships and you won't even be surrounded by the blue rinse brigade... *other cruise lines also sail from Southampton, apparantly

Something very different to usual threads

Buzz did exactly that... Calling a Korean war vet who saw three of his buddies burnt to a crisp in Apollo 1 a coward is not the brightest thing to do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOo6aHSY8hU -
Another vote for Los Carocoles here, and the Bus Turistic. There is a very good museum on the way to the Camp Nou where you can drop the missus off if you're going to do the tour , also if you're into modern/contemporary art (think Tate Modern) there's a new gallery a few minutes off of Las Ramblas to the left (with your back to the sea, its about halfway up, close to the market). If you need chill time an hour or so at Pedralbes Monastery (blue route on the tourist bus) is ideal - very peaceful, beautiful spot. Was perfect for us after a hectic day sightseeing just to sit there and chill

Current odds from Bet365: Chelsea 1/4 Draw 9/2 Skates 11/1 LMFAO, I mean when we were a "lowly" second tier club playing the "mighty" Man U the odds were only 4/1...

I feel dirty and ashamed for posting this, and never thought I'd say it, but "great article in the Daily Mail" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1269921/MARTIN-SAMUEL-Once-time-fairytale-Cottage-.html This is what it means to all the little teams, and a cracking photo of Zoltan (who sounds like he should be in Battle of the Planets) to boot.

Brilliant - good mate of mine is a Fulham fan so I've seen them a few times down the years, even when they were back in the 3rd tier. It really is a fairytale for him, he's been to every round home and away, its cost him an absolute fortune, and he couldn't care less... And a team built without a shedload of money despite Al Fayed's riches, they've done it fair and square and beaten some European giants on the way.
-
They have raped their own community and need stringing up with piano wire round their ********. I want them to cease to exist for what they've done, and for football to change as a result.

Great singing from the Northam today, had to lol at the Lallana song (first time I've heard it that loud at home). Good to see Barnard get the reception he did, must be tough for him not to be playing every week. Absolute bullet from Antonio for his 1st goal, and Harte's freekick was sublime and unstoppable plus we had the comedy of the back pass.

My favourite player in recent years, he is a class above everyone else on the pitch, the opposition are **** scared of him, he wins everything in the air, you feel he can score from anywhere on the pitch, he's completely unselfish. Without him I think we'd be in a serious relegation battle. I'd love to see him tested in the Prem but guess we'll have to wait a couple of years for that now For me its Channon, Osgood, Dennis, Danny Wallace, Steve Williams, Steve Moran, Shearer, MLT, Beattie, Pahars, and Lambert. He's our best player by a country mile this season, I reckon we could play him anywhere and he'd still be awesome. Technical ability plus workrate plus vision plus passion. No-one can touch Le God but I'd say he's the 2nd best player I've seen in a Saints shirt in 30+ years of watching.
