Pearce, Shearer or Beckham will just be a continuation of the same old same old. The FA need to change tack completley and get someone in that is going to move things on a notch or two. So it will be Pearce, Shearer or Beckham then.

This, I regard his part in our downfall as very minor, so I don't get all this hatred stuff. He has too much stuff in his past for the FA too handle.

I remember a lot of people being happy about the sports science stuff going on under the **** Lowe, people were creaming themselves about how it made Bale the skillful free kick taker. What people didn't like was the snake oily Clifford getting involved and a rugby man being line up for management on a hugh salary. Also people shouldn't under estimate Redknapp, his team looked great at the weekend and I would hazard a guess that you don't get into the CL with out embracing modern techniques, if he hasn't then he really is a brilliant manager.

Whilst the extra income has enabled top flight clubs to borrow large sums for new grounds, this I beleive would have happened anyway as part of the modernisation of football that was happening anyway. Plenty of clubs outside of the top flight have changed or rebuilt their ground whilst the trickle down money from the Sky deal is pretty small. The Sky money has gone on wages, transfer and agent fees only. Admission prices have continued to rise whilst the PL Blueprint reckoned they would fall. I would prefer a football world with out Sky, but the demand it there so its here to stay.

That is the whole point; the EU rights are cheap so it enables a EU provider, allowed under EU law, to undercut the domestic provider Sky.

The sky man will find a way and what you say will happen, so bang goes slipping away from the wife and kids to watch the football on the summer hols.

I don't know whether the media were in for McClaren, but holding that brolly was a ****in disgrace. Two days after getting the England job and getting paid £2m a year he set up a company to protect his image rights, to maximise his earnings. For the Croatia game the rain was heavy and his advisor told him not to get his comb over wet, as the image of him loosing the game and standing there with his comb over drooping down his face would kill the value of his image. So instead of standing on the side line not giving a **** about the rain and giving it all for England he was worried about his earnings and stood there with that brolly. So for me Im glad he has failed at Forest.
