  1. We could have won the 2nd division title had we won so i can't believe we would have agreed with Spurs to draw the game.
  2. This police crack down is a cock up. Its just banter but does it need to be the same old songs about a subject the rest of the country moved on from years ago, the songs are pathetic and so is the site of grown men giggling to them.
  3. He didn't track back enough for me.
  4. Wages wise Celtic would pay similar to a champ side for a fringe player like JH.
  5. I've always seen it as Southwick are Pompey and Shoreham are Southampton.
  6. Haven't you read it completely the wrong way around, to me its a dig at the dickhead ST waving Saints fans.
  7. I got arrested there in 84 for throwing a 'dangerous missile', which happened to be a snow ball. I got taken to an old wooden police hut behind the north stand, where after being left to stew for a bit they phoned my mum but put the phone down before it was answered, gave me a lecture and sent me off.
  8. From purely a points point of view you are correct but there is more to be gained from beating Brighton then three points.
  9. Like it or not these Brighton games are more important than most of the other games. At the beginning of the season the top five must win games thread reveal a list something like this; Pompey, West Ham, Leicester, Reading and Brighton. All the better for it I say, ramp up the pressure and kick the ****s into touch, it will make the first pint of the evening taste even better.
  10. Exactley on both sides, it will be a sell out and they sold their tickets in record time. Rivalry what rivalry.
  11. Calling other fans plastic is probably the wa*kiest thing ever.
  12. Falmer was the working title for Brightons ground and people still use it now. Coventrys ground was originally going to be the Jaguar Arena and they named a road in the area accordingly, interestingly the locals want a road by it changed to a Coventry City type name as they search for an alternative identity. How much money does it raise I mean how much would Bruce have paid for the Coventry naming rights.
  13. I understand when a club is building a new ground that naming rights becomes part of the financing portfolio as it reduces the borrowing requirments, however I think its sad that a club would allow their grounds name to be change for what in the scheme of things is small change. What next, Newcastle changing the black stripe to red for a few quid from a sponsor. Many will see it as something that is needed to compete, well I see it the other way around if you need to flog a grounds name to compete then the authorities may need to look at financing football, as they are starting to. The FA could stamp it out for all historical grounds in a jiffy.
  14. Age has got nothing to do with it hes always acting like a ****.
  15. Milton United do but alas I dont know the names.
  16. As enjoyable as this team is, it isn't our best. However this is the first time we seem to be using a squad to its fullest; prior to NA the squad existed as back up for the first team, now NA uses different players for different games and different periods of the game. Of course there are peripheral players in the squad but there must be a core of 16-18 players that get used. So it that terms it is the best squad ever but we are witnessing a change in football.
  17. Reserve games were the only way I got to go to the Dell when I was little, as my old man was a Plymouth fan thats who I would be taken to see on a Saturday and to the Dell for the occassional reserve game, loved it. It is a cheap way of getting the kids involved.
  18. I hope it gets them a run out.
  19. Because that will be both original and hillarious, I can't wait it will really wind them up and probably affect their team as well. Good plan Lady Boy. I was chatting to a couple of Brighton mates and they think their problems this season is down to losing Murry and Bennett, Bennett was instramental in midfield and whilst CMS is probably a better footballer, Murry suited their style of play better. They beat Barnsley with two hoofing goals. So as long as we do our stuff we should be OK.
  20. Unfortunately he didn't make the grade here, classless to call him ****. Thanks for the goals good luck Jono.
  21. We spend millions sending our young men to die or lose their limbs in the name of national security, yet leave the borders in a position so any terriorist can just walk in in the name of budject cuts. But its OK im wearing a bit of red paper and waiting a minute for the football to start. I'm sorry it doesn't make sense.
  22. Football subs has morphed from; bringing a player on for an injured body, to changing things up if its not working, to them being a part of the original game plan. Teams now like to mix up their style of play to suit different periods of the game, which makes sense if you are allowed to use subs then take full advantage of them.
  23. I dont think we need anybody in Jan, get promoted and buy early in the summer.
  24. Because some of our goals are easy tap ins, but these managers dont care to admit that all the hard work had been put earlier in the move to create the simple finish.
  25. What about the players getting to fulfill their football ambitions.
