  1. F#ck the National Anthem it isn't an anthem for England its the Windsor family song, we want a proper anthem.
  2. It closes on the 24th of Nov and you can loan as many as you want but can only have 5 named in the squad.
  3. England is followed by mongs, I have been to Wembley recently and it's the most sh#t football experience ever. No surrender, ten german bombers etc Sports Direct apparel a must, sh#t songs, poor atmosphere. The only saving grace was the players but I couldn't give a **** about them anymore. So I couldn't care less if England win or lose, in fact I would rather they lose to force some changes.
  4. Thankfully it isn't safety at all costs. Otherwise the national speed limit would be 25mph and pubs would be banned. Holding back is wrong and peoe going to football matches should man up a bit and get over a bit of shouting and shoving. Afterall how many innocent people get hurt, none. So how about a bit of individual responsibility and stop wanting the state to provide everything for us.
  5. My old man is a Plymouth fan and they were the only team he took me to, never the Saints, but I choose local and wanted to be a Saints fan, being born in 1970 helped. I have a 7 year old daughter who is a Saints fan and a 1 year old boy. I have a list of teams they can support, Saints (top of the list), Plymouth and Arsenal (grand dads) Charlton and Gillingham (local sides), no kid of mine will support Man U, Man City, Chelsea or the like.
  6. Congratulations, by the time he is football aware we will be above Liverpool.
  7. Why do people get so worked up when others express negative opinions, if this thread proves anything opinions do not affect the final outcome, so live and let live people.
  8. Maybe its just a device to get an interesting thread going you pair of graceless c*nts, I bet you stand on your own in the pub.
  9. I originally thought the proposition in the OP was daft, however thinking about it I would go for nothing. Waghorn may be one for the future but I would give up on him to not sign Fontaine if he is only a slight improvement on Seaborne. Too many surplus players can have a demoralising effect, we are only 4 games in and I believe Seaborne is good enough and will flurish this season. Also trust in Connolly and Barnard they will do the business.
  10. We've done to loads of players and we never learn.
  11. What I want to know is how come everyone can see your ******** whilst our ******** are hidden.
  12. This ******** may have legs.
  13. Not today. I've heard he is hiring out the Youth Hostel on Truly Hill for a joint murder mystery party with Fat Boy Slim. Celebs eh.
  14. The books strap line.
  15. Have we all given up on Barnard, he'll be back soon and will do a job for us.
  16. Why don't you pop down to the bookies and put £50 on us finishing 17th, scan the slip and post on here.
  17. Who had a little bead of sweat, a tightening of the throat and a shuffle on the couch when the 'SISU out' stuff came on. There but for the grace of the footballers gods.
  18. I bet fans of every club say the same stuff.
  19. Leicester - but city boss said 'no one has come in with an offer we can accept.
  20. Well done for working that out; thats my point our exceptional result is no longer so.
  21. They were 4-1 up before Ipswich had a player sent off, defensively Ipswich were very poor.
  22. Anyone else f#cked off that Peterborough beat them 7-1, its diminishes our result somewhat.
  23. Whats all that migrant stuff all about, anyway you don't really seem to listen to what I have to say, I'm not putting the Brighton rivalry above ours, I'm saying if you consider Brighton's to be a contrivance then you have to consider ours to be so as well. Both were developed in the 70's when it was the fashionable thing to do. You can myth make as much as you like but you can't get away from the fact we didn't have a problem with Portsmouth for decades despite the non-evidenced years of port rivalry you speak of. I would suggest that outside of Celtic Rangers that 99% of football rivalries in Britain are geographic based or sporting peers and nothing to do with pre-football issues. And I love the fact you even doubt that I'm a Saints fan because how could I possibly dislike Everton more than our big bad rivals Pompey. Everton put us out of the FA cup three times in the 80's and always seemed to do us in the league in a decade when I was at secondary school and I've hated them ever since. As for Stoke never liked their fans, the area, they wear out kit and the fact that I see their place in the top flight as ours.
  24. A little slap by someone in authority is what this country is missing. When a teacher hit me my mum was called in to school and told them to hit me again if I was out of order, didn't do me any harm. Judging by the blokes reaction he took it too, so possibly he knew he was out of order.
  25. You are not very bright if you think Palace and Brighton are unrelated, Palace are Brighton's closest team they have played each other over twice as many times as we have played Pompey, they have challenged each other for promotion fueling the rivalry, when has that ever happened with us and Pompey. Geographically and culturally Brighton has far more links with London than the South Coast, its 45 mins on the train to Norwood Junction half the time than it is to Portsmouth. Wheres the evidence of centuries of hatred between Southampton and Portsmouth, I supposed there is civic pride between the two two, but this I bet has never really manifested itself greatly with the inhabitants of each city. Up until the 60/70s people supported both teams, they paraded the FA cup in Southampton, only 4000 people watched a Saints game because the rest were in Wembley watching Pompey. So our rivalry is equally as 'weird' as its sprung out of no where. Or more likely it grew with the rise of football hooliganism when it was de rigueur to have a rival at exactly the same time as the Palace Brighton thing occurred. Yes a lot of Palace hate Charlton more, but a lot of Spurs hate Chelsea more than Arsenal and there was a time when a lot of Saints fans turned their attention to Spurs. I probably hate Everton and Stoke more than Portsmouth. We are so desperate to tell the world we have a proper rivalry that 50% of our songs are anti-pompey and people are always going on about it on here, so maybe ours is just as plastic afterall.
