Labour are always subject to far more scrutiny than the tories.

Change the dress and flip the wording and that would be the Hilltop Youth.

But there's also a long heritage of Jewish people in the British solcialist movement. Including fighting facists on Cable Street, where the communist leader was Jewish, there's always been a strong jewish movement in the Labour Party and Israel was founded with some socialist ideals in its DNA, illustrated with the secular kibbutz movement which attracted young British socialists over in the 50s - 80s. So to call the left anti-jewish because some are, is like calling the Labour party a brexit party because of Kate Hoey or calling the Torys facists because of some nasty loons in the party. Football fans hissing at White Hart Lane and England fans singing 'I'd rather be a paki than a jew', were they all young socialists. Let's not make this out to only be a problem of the left.

The line 'this racist mythology that's in the air', is doing a lot of work here, because DB can't just come out and say the left is racist against Jews because he knows this isn't true. So is he saying that against a backdrop of racist thinking the left choose to put the Jews into the baddy group. Because that's just not true either. The political left don't go around agreeing whose good and whose bad, they can't agree on much. There are the nutters to the far left who wrongly claim jews control money and are therefore part of bad capitalism, there are nutters on the right who thought Hitler was right or who believe in conspiracy theories about groups who control the world. There is no left and right in this, although I get the impression that there are forces on the Internet pushing this idea. The question 'who's side are you on' and 'you've got to choose a side' is becoming a thing. I'm not on social media, but my right wing brothers-in-law are and they keeping saying this. None of this is helpful, the two sides are entrenched enough through religion and race, it doesn't politics thrown into the mix as well.

If the Egyptians let the people from Gaza in to Sinai, that clears Gaza but would they ever be allowed back. Probably no.
  12. So the belittling trolly nickname was from his side not the opposition. Lucky for the tories that the House of Commons is on a break.

We can't build a railway, we pump shit into rivers, lose a third of our water in leaks, have potholed roads, falling down hospitals and we are in the top ten of GDP. And LD reckons Gaza in the bottom 10% of GDP will be able to build this stuff in less than two decades.
  14. Your supposing being a healthy choice is the only consideration when buying food. I like beef with potato and a nice veg like turnip, but I much prefer them wrapped in shortcrust pastry, crimped at the top and made in a factory. Insane.
  15. Not for me, never tried them but plenty do, that's why there are products for sale. How long they will last is another thing, but at the moment they are bought by the veggiecurious, people wanting a perceived healthier option, people wanting a more sustainable option. It's just processed food, I can't see the mental in it.
  16. But the point of meatless meat is to try and entice meateaters to try meatless products. That's where companies are trying to grow the market.
  17. Just checked it out on Tidal and only 7 tracks are available to listen to.

The wife, son, daughter and grandson of Al Jazeera’s chief correspondent in the Gaza Strip, Wael Dahdouh, were killed by an Israeli air strike on his home. https://apnews.com/article/dahdouh-aljazeera-war-israel-palestinians-968a24495e1ce420dfe2f9257528c5c4

  23. Please for him, wound up here because of Jones and then watched Luton go up. So I'm pleased that he's stepped up, claimed a place and is playing well
  24. Very poor first half performance by Birmingham; they did't get very close to us at all and were so passive and let us play our game and we strolled to a simple 2-0 lead. Shit way to play for a new manager. Then the second half they started playing properly and we had to work to regain composure. Our players weren't expecting it, but stood up to it, especially when they pulled a goal back. KWPs touch for their goal was too overconfident. Good win, but that's as much down to how poor Birmingham were to as how good we were. And another non-clean sheet. Still 3 points and more hours playing Martins way. That'll do for me.

Iran need to be managed, they appear to be a massive agitator with poor relationships with a lot of countries. I guess the US are telling them not to get emboldened by Israel/Gaza war.
