  1. Don't be scared of being laughed at. Free yourself.
  2. Definitely, when I win the lotto I'm now getting myself a Coutts bank account.
  3. After coming off twitter I had completely forgotten about twats like Melville.
  4. It's all a conspiracy and the RAF are up to their eyeballs in it.
  5. Part of the issue is that as you go higher up the food chain your job changes and invariably gets more boring. When I started out I was out on site a lot, or hiding driving between sites. Now I'm office based more and paper pushing, it isn't the same job but it's higher paid and I'm not being chased about by a shit boss, but it's not as enjoyable. I think the key is to not just think about what you want to do, but how you want to work. I said this to my daughter and she worked out she doesn't want to be in an office, so is training to be a midwife. She's gone from being a less than average student to being top in her year at uni. Her boyfriend on the otherhand is chasing the money despite being warned by the older guys doing new build plumbing that ten years down the line you can get stuck. I'm telling him to invest in himself now, but he would rather have a £1000 coat, a car he can't really afford and waste time and money chasing bitcoin, dubious betting schemes and shit investment proposals, all because he knows someone who knows someone who reckons they made a shit load doing it. But when you see that they are bombarded with perfect life tix toks and the reality of house prices you can kind of understand.
  6. It is a problem, that's why there are fair rules about it. There is a line, it's there to be fair and it stops things creeping. We allow the reasonable stuff like MPs fronting current affairs programmes but not news programmes (including items on other programmes on a news channel that purport to be news). It's what makes this country great.
  7. FFS they are magazine or current affair programmes, there is a distinct difference. Do your research.
  8. The classic drama queen amd boring response, with nothing of substance to add. FFS is that your argument. This isn't my weird rules, its Ofcoms. MPs can't present news programmes, full stop, it's there to protect you. It wasn't a lifestyle interview, it was an interview of a tory minister on current government policy by other current serving Tory MPs. If you can't see that is wrong just because they're your men, then you are there for the taking by those in power. Don't worry there will be others to defend your rights. You're welcome.
  9. Its the tory MPs interviewing tory MPs on government policy, I think anyone of any political persuasion can agree that is worrying.
  10. I obviously missed a few episodes of the Saintsweb royal rumble.
  11. 🤣🤣 You don't know if any of that bears any resemblance to the reality. You don't know what the BBC did originally or what conclusion they came, if they ceased investigating or not, whether they've changed approach, what the investigation is looking at now etc etc. You've filled in some big old gaps there.
  12. He was younger in the 1940's, the war may have muddled things.
  13. Of course you want him to think that, you want him to be the left wing bogeyman to reaffirm your righteous fight.
  14. The law isn't the only standard by which we judge things. Plenty of people are sacked for doing stuff that isn't against the law. This isn't a comment on this case, just a general comment.
  15. You can make it as big as you like, it still doesn't make it what you want it to mean.
  16. Hasn't it been standard for decades to get to a certain age and get a bit bored or question decisions you made when you were younger. It's possible to be both grateful for what you've got and wistful for the paths you didn't go down. I know I'm both.
  17. Where does he say he wants it shut down?
  18. https://www.npr.org/2023/07/12/1187068731/heat-waves-europe-deaths-study Just seen aint has already posted this.
  19. Good try mate.
  20. Classic transference.
  21. No one, its just their fantasy. The fantasy left weilding a fantasy axe.
  22. We all have to pay for stuff we don't use, it's all part of living in a society. I don't like the king, drive on roads in the north or have any family members on benefits.
  23. It is interesting that people question the motives of the BBC but don't mind lapping up the views of rich right wing media sponsors.
  24. Yes people are free to start such a channel, and you can be assured that other people will get worked up about it, even though they don't HAVE to watch it.
  25. They are part of the balance mate. A principle was established, that the schedule just needs to be balanced not individual shows. So you can have Ferrari and Johnson gammon on, if you had some liberal shows as well.
