  1. We weren't linked with any other managers because Rasmus Ankersen had wanted NJ for a while. I believe they tried to get him in in the summer.
  2. We huffed and puffed really well, but lack attacking creativity. We worked ourselves into good positions a number of times, but the final ball is rarely good enough. We will struggle to stay up with huff and puff football.
  3. Narrative? so what part of me saying we were very good against Man City fits that narrative. Of course AA goal was a valid goal, but those types of goals and JWP free kick going straight in are far a few between. We were poor going forward, not one long ball made it to it's target, aimless looping balls from defence to midfield, very little creativity. It didn't work at all, which I'm sure prompted a change in tactics for the Man City game. Saying we only won at Palace because we were gifted goals isn't that far from the truth. It's a challenge for teams like us to get the defence and attack both working well, let's see if NJ can.
  4. The Man City performance was very good and the result at Everton was excellent. Defensively we weren't too bad against CP, but going forward wasn't great and we were gifted two goals, we didn't look like winning without them.
  5. Trying his best is a minimum requirement for a manager, for any job. All our managers in the past got trash comments, read back the stuff written about Ralph.
  6. I agree, if he keeps us up, then he will have probably earnt the right to keep going.
  7. What is weird about have a personal opinion on NJ. Lots of opinions on Ralph 'crying' after that Liverpool game, I feel the same way about NJs post match demeanour.
  8. 1 prem win and everyone is a happy clapper
  9. With JWPs two goals and decent aggressive playing style, maybe you can layoff the son-in-law 'pony'.
  10. Please about the results obviously and pleased that it's settling down with the players, shows how professional the players are. I don't like the bloke, he looks and talks like a alchie bench shouter that you find in a run down town centre. Responding to the fan chants was embarrassing and his hyped up actions after those wins is also embarrassing. His coaching team are tin pot and they will probably struggle to keep us up, and if he does is he really the man to push us on.
  11. Jones was clearly affected by the fans opinions, being the little aggressive man from a hard mining town, it would have driven him on. Well done the fans. It looks like we are stuck with him for a while. Our only hope now is for Wales to sack Robert Page and offer NJ the job he can't turn down.
  12. Better football, the long ball was more tactical than aimless and proper press with nice levels of aggression. Still unlikeable interview afterwards, for a born again Christian he's very passive aggressive.
  13. Typical Saints can't even do being shit properly.
  14. It wasn't a comparison. It was testing your assertion that you would give anyone time before forming an opinion, when probably you do really have a limit as well. It's fine, you think NJ might make it here whereas many already think there is no chance in a million years he will and it's not fuckin pathetic to think so.
  15. So you're all for being calm in giving a manager a chance but can't let a forum discussion go more than three replys with out resulting to insult.
  16. Hakan Hayrettin is available after getting the push at Maidstone, let's give him a go and some time to see if it will work. Got the Stones promotion last season with a very small budget and was part of the staff when Luton got promotion back into the league. And by all accounts a nice bloke as well.
  17. For me there is a line, and below that all the possible candidates are not good enough. Above that line I would to give them time, below the line there is no point. NJ is a below the line candidate for me, there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. I was against him on day 1 and wasting time watching him fuck up isn't going to do the club any good. I support SFC not NJ and we have made a terrible mistake that has to be rectified asap. I have always given other appointments breathing space, the only other time I thought this way was with Wigley. When you know you know.
  18. So in your mind, you would give time to any manager appointment we made. So regardless of who they are or how good they are, there will never be an appointment that you wouldn't question from day one.
  19. It's not fuckin pathetic to think that the NJ appointment was wrong in the first place, when there was little evidence to suggest he was the right man. And it's not fuckin pathetic to hold NJ and the club to account for the performances to date.
  20. You can be fucked off with both the last 11 months and Nathan Jones.
  21. But we are not paying him cheap wages.
  22. Why do managers respond to fan charts, just makes you look small time, doesn't it Nathan.
  23. I think there was a period where we only won if SA was playing.
  24. There is little hope at the moment.
  25. Maybe the Chelsea owner wants to challenge that mindset, which will make him stick with Potter even more.
