I told you we'd get thrash, you hopeless dreamer.
-
A 4.5 size ball I reckon would help the skill level.

Spurs will thrash us and the soppy spurs twats will be talking about winning the league all week. Then the following weekend they will lose to Chelsea and the head rush will be over.

I've got 'in nets' on my LD bingo card.

Success for us is not being near the relegation spots for most of the season and finishing 12th or above, with a bit of a cup run.

The Lionesses success - Five footballing lessons for us?
Fan The Flames replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
That side of things can be neglected, especially with the not so good kids, who would really benefit from it. The kid of a site manager on one of my jobs did futsal for a numbet of years before playing normal football, they spent hours just rolling the ball around the foot and doing controlling skills. He's got in to Spurs academy just as the job finished, it would be interesting to know how he's progressed. -
It's just hyperbole or click bait, easily ignored.

Quite. This is one of those things, where one person says something silly and the usual actors, like the Express, Mail, GB News, Piers Morgan jump on it as an illustration of how radical the 'other lot' are and as a warning that the loons are coming to change your world. Mini moral panics to stir up the base.

Funny, because the pony phrase makes all your posts sound really noddy.

The Lionesses success - Five footballing lessons for us?

I still think with the England team it's no where near the mens teams yet. Male players now are pulling balls down effortlessly, taking balls on the run, controlling the ball on most parts of their body. Apart from fitnesss its the thing that has improved most in the game since I've been watching football. I play with a load of younsters and their touch is so much better then the lads of my age, the ball us coming down with snow on and they can kill it with their touch. Still we can tackle harder and take more pain. -

Really, talking generally the first touch has been very loose at times. Touch and control in the mens game is now immense. -
The old cut the non-clinical staff bollocks is always trotted out, they always call them disparagingly 'middle managers'. Hospitals need loads of non-clinical staff to operate and as you say a lot of them are on low wages, who can get better pay at their local supermarket. People throw out these easy lines but like anything the answers aren't easy.

GPs are independent contractors to the NHS, CCGs were GP led commissioning groups started is 2015. The GP service has gone down hill over the last 5-7 years. There is probably a connection. You're right the receptionists are witches, for a reason as they haven't git the GP slots, the amount of GPs have fallen. The tories pledged 5000 more GP but it's fallen by 1500, so we are 6500 short. So people can't get GP appointments, so go to urgent care or A&E and block that up and this blocks up ambulances. On the other side there are not enough ward spaces, winter pressure wards have been converted to other uses, even if there were enough wards there aren't enough nurses to staff them. So people bottle neck in A&E. What can appear like crazy decisions in hospitals are made because they are walking on a tightrope trying to balance the resourses and demand and trying to free up pathways to keep people moving through the system.

But enough difference to be different.

I really dont know or care about the blurb bit, that's just required fluff nowadays But the kits are simiar in inspiration and colour pallet, but not very similar. The pattern on the front, which is the most distinct element, differ greatly. Ours is a inspired by Japanese wave paintings and Polynesian art, Newports is more camouflage or like that oil on water art we did at school. For it to be very similar, it would have to have been templated from Newports for me. However I can see how we differ on it.

Not really.

Didn't like it, but now I do. Same story after most kit releases. I do love a centre badge.

Kick-ins instead of throw-ins: a potential rule change!
Fan The Flames replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
The rule change I would like to see is the ball has to be dead still before a free kick can be taken. It's annoying when the ball is hardly moving and the kick is taken quickly, and the ref stops the game, pulls the play back for the geezer to play the same ball again. Pointless. -
The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Hunt was hated last time he was in government. He's like an injured Saints player who gets better through absence. -
I've got that, it worse when I'm tired. Chewing and crunching of plastic bottles. It's an annoying thing to have and everyone thinks (including myself) that I'm an intolerant cunt. For me that's the key to controlling it; when it happens, I recognise that the problem is mine not the noise maker and I have a word with myself. Not easy though. My brother in law, in recent years, has started 'tasting' every mouthful of drink, he's like a baby goat and eating so fast he gets out of breath. Fortunately it drives everyone else just as mad.

No metric only option in one of the questions. This imperial stuff is a fuckin joke.

I don't think Leadsome 'turning' is a big deal, there's history between the two when they both ran for the leadership last time, and she has always been over ambitious. -

So it's confirmed, dead cats are weigthed in pounds and ounces. -

"Johnson claimed that measuring in pounds and ounces was an “ancient liberty” as he heralded a “new era of generosity and tolerance” towards traditional measurements." What a pathetic cunt.
