He was a real part of moving electronics from the nerdy hobbyist to the main stream market. My mate used to bring his Spectrum around my house and we would play Jet Set Willy and Football Manager all night long. There were a few C5s in Brighton where I went to school and the school kids would gob on them as they drove past. It became a bit of an issue and we had an assembly about not gobbing at the public.

You're starting to get it now.

We could fully rejoin, I doubt that will happen anytime soon. But that's not the only game in play, there's a whole load of positions between where we are now and fully rejoining. So the Brexit we have can change. I'm glad you finally agree things aren't static. Maybe the other 'its over' and 'it's futile' guys will get it too.

You're kidding right.
-
And the people's representatives will change.

Yes there's a deal for now. That doesn't mean that's it forever, things will change. The deal is a treaty and treaties will always be renegotiated. People aren't talking about what should have happened anymore but about what could happen in the future.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Ok, understand now. Yes but it was more than a bus slogan, your link had it as a Theresa May quote. One of the major points of the Brexit debate was to spend the club fees on our own stuff. And Team Brexit wasn't non political it included government MPs. So it was far more than a suggestion. -

What is unenactable about giving the NHS more money? Why should that bus statement not be held to account? It was afterall central to the brexit offer and was said by many campaigning brexit politicians as well as being plastered on the side of the bus. -
I'm not sure you truly understand what compromise means. This is how it works, there is a vast difference between the types of brexit from hard to soft. The ideologs want the hard on brexit, whereas there will others who want a softer brexit. Given that no voted for a type of brexit, it can't be assumed what type the public actually want. Therefore acompromise would be a softer brexit, the brexit nutters get brexit, the anti foreigners get to keep foreigners out, people get a black passport and a crown on their pint glass and the nation gets to keep some of it's European freedoms and we all live happily ever after.

Well it's actually happening now as reported this week, the surface rhetoric is the same, but behind the scenes the beurocrats on both sides are bending, fudging and loosely interpreting in order to make things work. This will slowly erode the ideologs positions and be something to build on.

Changing the narrative is the start. Keep going you are doing a great job.

I see some freedom loving Tories heckled Javid when he mentioned masks.

That of course is the idea, to control the numbers of people in hospital to a manageable level. We seem a long way off lockdown at the moment.

Maybe you shouldn't be so dismissive without out anything to back it up. When Angelos Frangopoulos got involved it clearly indicated the direction of travel. I get sent Sky Australia links by my conspiracy loving brother in law and SA is clearly a sess pit of bigotry and nutters.

Boys and men's teams struggle with keepers as well. The keepers in boys teams are normally the worst out field player that's not good enough so gets shoved in goal. My sons team has always had a fat kid who gets too knackered on pitch so chooses to go in goal. The higher team in his year group goalie isn't good enough to play out on pitch for them, but doesn't want to be in the divs team, so chooses to be in goal, because there is loads of playground peer pressure about what team you are in. If those boys catch up with the others out field then they drop goalkeeping, to use a pun, as soon as they can. If I think of all the Sunday and pub teams I've played for, getting and keeping a decent keeper was hard. And my recent five aside team has a brilliant keeper and we won the league on the back of his performances, becuae most of the other teams had shit keepers. You have a massive advantage if your keeper dives against a keeper who mainly uses his legs.

You wouldn't think it needed explaining.

Priti Patel got her dick extension then.

The clue is in the title, this is the Brexit - post match reaction thread.

You can't let politics get in the way, its really not that important.

Ironically a sneering post. I know someone who voted for Brexit because he hated the local council so much. Some people really did vote out for spurious reasons. Mind you, he also said he was only going to have the second vaccine because it was the first one that gave you the bad side effects.

It would be nice the have an English Wimbledon winner, it's been decades coming.

The rich will be able to afford to do their own thing, the poor will be covered by the government and the big lump in the middle will take the hit. Same as every government proposal.
