  1. But having a go at the jobs that can work from home with a bit of WW2 rhetoric will play well to the blue collar tories.
  2. Why does having a female ref have anything to do with keeping the mens and women's game separate?
  3. I wonder whose DM to GM he's copied and pasted it from.
  4. Are you suggesting that we are currently saying no to unseemly investment.
  5. FA Cup 86. I went to school in Hove so I was in the Brighton end that day with my mates. The part of the east stand next to the north stand at the Goldstone was empty, they must have opened it up to relieve the congestion as suddendly there was this loud roar as the Saints fans came over the top, running down the terrace and quickly filling it up and rattling the fences next to us. It was like something out of Zulu Dawn. 2 nil win and I had to scrap a couple of kids from my school outside after the game.
  6. Very nice, but it's not Newcastle it's a hour away. Beautiful places within an hour of Southampton too.
  7. Again, there is no equivalence. Nice try Weston, your services gag earlier was good, stick with the comedy.
  8. Jamie O'hara, a very average prem footballer, you could even say the Southampton of premier league footballers.
  9. Many wouldn't. This takeover isnt by some bloke from a dodgy country or even a state owned company from a dodgy country. But this is the government of a vile country who have sponsored world wide terrorism to promote its backwards evil Wahhabism. They created and backed the Taliban and supported Al-Qaeda, they created a world where Isis can exist and they have funded the extreme mosques around Europe, radicalising kids. This country has been behind the murders of thousands of Western civilians and the deaths of thousands of our service men. It's amazing that the Britsh Government have anything to do with then and it is very sad that one of our football clubs have been allowed to be bought by them. I'm sure Newcastle fans will bo the mind gymnastics to get around this, just like a lot of our fans would do if they bought us. But the truth is the Saudis have a lot of our blood on their hands.
  10. So will Newcastle close down their womens team, will female supporters have to be accompanied by a guardian and go to separate half time bars. Loads of money but I wouldn't want to be owned by those religious nutter cunts, behind half of the world problems.
  11. New page bingo I predict the word 'ignore' will be on the 6th post of this page.
  12. Ridiculous that someone thinks fact checking is wrong.
  13. I mean rebalancing in a big way. I don't know what but house prices need to be cut, owning numerous homes banned or severe rent controls, the country to own all the land. Something, so we can then pay the true cost of food and for decent goods that have a far longer lifespan. People then can get a decent wage and we can put less chinese shit into landfill. None of this will happen, democracy can only fiddle at the edges.
  14. So can anyone confirm what's happened to the Ugly Inside?
  15. The food industry is completely driven by the supermarkets keeping prices down, Tescos and Lidl and all, say to the food producer we will give you x amount for your sausages, potatos, milk, whatever and they have to like it or lump it. They then need to keep the labour costs down to make it work. I'm sure there are the odd greedy tory farmer taking advantage, but most need the cheaper labour to make it work or they go under. As a country we are addicted to cheap food and cheap foreign goods because our housing costs are too high and our economy needs us to spend so much on other stuff, like phones, tv, broadband, gyms, streaming services. They've got to keep the ponzi scheme going, but really it all needs rebalancing again.
  16. What actually is wrong with spending $35 trillion?
  17. Don't you mean the number of PhDs that have worked on you?
  18. Because A&S is bigger than Bristol. The point is there is governance, either the Mayors office or a PCC.
  19. 1. Tackle the canteen culture of the force. There a hundreds of tales of this, it has got better over the years but it still persists. 2. Stood by whilsle blowers and people wanting to create a positive change. Insteadvof it potentially ruining their careers.a 3. Had a better vetting department. No one wants to work there, as a researcher you don't join the police to vet police, its boring. So they get the worst researcher out of the lot. Also when one of your officers has used their warrant card to kidnap and murder a civilian, don't just call them a 'bad un'.
  20. Weston Fact Check. Where there is a mayor they assume the governance role over the police force. GMP's last two CC each lasted over 6 years. The title of the person in charge is irrelevant. GMP not fit for purpose but no Weston thread?
  21. He's getting set to drop a gotcha bomb.
  22. They look down on those who have the audacity to want to govern and who've studied to equip themselves to actually do it. Because they believe they're born to rule, and that along with their Eton/Oxbridge stint should be enough.
  23. When Mayor of London he would be asked to speak at various events. He would breeze in late, apologise, sit and scribble something and then delivering an off the cuff speech. The audience would be charmed by how he pulled it together so quickly and effortlessly. Until you went to another one of these do's and saw the same routine and heard the exact same speech with the names changed.
