That was a waste of your time and mine.
-
He has the talent for sure but this wasn't an isolated incident that could be patched up - he has deeper seated attitude issues which means you cant rely on him.
-
We'll have to shift him for £4m and the Lambert hysterics will turn round and say its a good deal.
-
Macaulay Culkin won...
-
So the 5th best striker in the Pl playing backup for 11th best country in the world is world class? Gotcha. That makes Rodriguez a Galactico.
-
That shows RL as being worth £4.4m, which is more than Dirk Kuyt. Proves the point.
-
Lol. The board got £4m for him and also shifted a £6m future liability off the wage bill. By Lambert going they have freed up c£10m - clever piece of business. He was great player but he was never going to recapture what he was and seeing a 35 year old Lambert limp around the pitch in 2017 was never going to best for him or us.
-
He got old. 32 year old players dont command much of a fee. Its a good move for SFC especially since he has a contract till he's 35 and at his current rate of decline he'll be in a bath chair by then. Good luck to him. He's achieving his dream and I hope he gets a great last hurrah scoring off the bench in the CL for Liverpool.

"No Planes Hit The Twin Towers" claims ex-CIA agent
buctootim replied to SO16_Saint's topic in The Lounge
Thats the nub of it. Particularly for the second tower to be hit there was intense scrutiny, live footage broadcast to millions of homes in addition to thousands of witnesses. There is an interesting research piece on the personality of 9/11 conspiracist beliefs published in 2009. Essentially the findings show that belief in conspiracies is a psychological trait - truthers tend not to be selective or apply objective criteria to each one, believe one believe them all. You need to subscribe to Applied Cognitive Psychology to see the full research but a summary is here. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/mental-mishaps/201009/conspiracy-theorists-is-the-truth-out-there -
Release clause in his contract?
-
Maybe none of the candidates on the short list want to keep him......
-
That was a reasoned thread in August when we should have signed a striker and hadnt. "WHO IS TO BLAME JEFF? WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THE SUMMER OF *****RY?" by contrast is pathetically hysterical.
-
Lol. You want Ralphy to update and confirm whether or not he was lying yesterday? Its a cracking idea. We could have hourly updates on which things previously said were lies and which have accidentally turned out to be true (due to unforseen circumstances).
-
Its the ****ing close season you monstrously thick plank
-
What the **** is going on? You're having a 'mare.
-
Yes but those are just facts - irrelevant next to an opportunity for pant wetting.
-
The transfer window is open and we've got 2 months before the next game. Thats fortunate. Imagine if we'd sold him and there was a game on Saturday. Pure luck.
-
You'd have to let him go to Liverpool. 1. He's done us proud and it would be a dream end of career for him 2. £9m is ridiculous
-
I guess Moyes is the safe choice. He'd probably get us higher than most other managers at the expense of entertainment. Depends what fans want.
-
Cant help feeling that Adam has had a one off purple patch season after years of just being 'good' and that we might not see that form again. I'd sell while his value is highest. Shaw is more likely to stay and will be worth at least as much in future.
-
Astute point. Would be interesting to know who Moyes would bring in as coaches and assistant.
-
As your location is Trujillo Peru I would hope thats tongue in cheek and not hypocrisy - unless of course the Peruvians are coming round to burn you out later.
-
You're much more likely to attract the best young and upcoming talent if they see you will develop them and provide a gateway to being signed by a CL club than if you force players to stay against their will. Better to be a gateway for the best young players, enjoy them while they're here and sell them on for a big profit than to try (and fail) to compete head to head with top 4 clubs and bankrupt yourself in the process.
-
Cork c£850k. Agree we will do better recruiting promising players who really want to be here than established also rans who think their agent should have got them a top 4 club.
