  1. Cant see that. Tony Bloom the Brighton chairman is pretty sharp. He's made some good buys and appointments, built a beautiful stadium and negotiated a tricky route to a new training ground. Harry isnt his style at all.
  2. Not a bad idea though. All parties involved could use the insurance money.
  3. Interesting thanks. So basically the rules for the PL are laxer than for UEFA? If that is the case won't it mean that the regular qualifiers for Europe (Man U, Chelsea etc) have to operate to more stringent rules than the rest of the PL, or face being denied access to the CL? So potentially the UEFA rules could still have a levelling effect, weakening the top teams but leaving the non Europe qualifiers untouched.
  4. So basically its pretty toothless and will have limited impact then?
  5. You don't know what pithy means do you? You are right though, the article was pithy.
  6. Gove reminds me of a PG Wodehouse character. Interesting because he is so idiosyncratic and 'different' but you wouldn't entrust him with anything important.
  7. Odd, just what I was thinking.
  8. You don't. I think this one would be much better for you if you want to do some gaming. New here for £640 http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/12882688/art/hp/envy-m6-1178sa-15-6-lapto.html#pix-review or refurbed (essentially new) here for £460 http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/laptops-netbooks/laptops/refurbished-laptops/hp-envy-m6-1178sa-refurbished-15-6-laptop-black-19572011-pdt.html?srcid=369&xtor=AL-11&cmpid=aff~HotUKDeals~&istCompanyId=9a35962d-802d-4e67-9721-0a3328ca1f02&istItemId=qqpxmxaa&istBid=t.
  9. Which parts aren't true?
  10. You can have my 2006 Chrysler PT limited edition for £3,000. Mercedes diesel engine, leather interior, 56,000 miles. I bought it when I had the same needs as you. Didn't like the Picasso's, seemed to sway like a tall building too much
  11. Sure, it was a bit a bit of generalisation - both the start and end had some fantastic performances. I suppose what i meant was that at the staert of the season we were free flowing and scoring at will in patches but leaking goals and only performing for part of the game. At the end much more solid in the back and middle but lacking a cutting edge. The middle of the season was where we had the sweet spot for a while.
  12. Odd season. Poor start (NA) and poor finish (MP) with a very good middle under both. Overall though very pleased with the position and progress.
  13. and you apparently are somebody who stalks a fruitcake on the internet. Its such a better look.
  14. He is right. For most fans in the past three years Cortese has gone from 'can do no right' to 'can do no wrong'. If he organises a fans mass meet up in the South American jungle, or in Waco, Im not going.
  15. Pretty sure it says 'Big Jessy'
  16. I don't know whats going on but I do know its not that. "Now they've asked for another £30m, shall we get some control over our £80m asset dear?" No I don't think so, too much tedious admin for the people we pay to take care of these things"
  17. Turkish thinks we'll get 6th
  18. Radio City apartments is good for families, saves on eating out all time too. http://www.radiocityapts.com/ Alternatively name your price on Priceline.com you can get great deals at places like the Grand Hyatt if they dont have a conference on. Start low and build up. They only use major brands so dont worry about bidding too cheap. If you do book through the site and give your card address as UK it wont accept it, but if you use your normal address but followed by , say, California 90210 it will go through. Also British Airways city breaks usually work out cheaper than doing it yourself
  19. They were chanting "Racist, **** off back to England", which was amusing.
  20. Are we having a special day for him? Awesome!
  21. Agree. The irony is that grammar schools were phased out for being elitist - but all their abolition has done is to cut off the main route out of manual labour and ensured the public schoolboys fill the top jobs unchallenged.
  22. Paucity of expectation. People want to go to their local school, but you'd get more social mobility if you mixed people up across wider areas and ensured a more mixed intake. That was one of the main reasons for the success of grammar schools imo, albeit not the only one.
  23. Yeah **** him. He was always a bit Arthur Atkinson anyway.
