  1. Same team as against Notts County, but a lot more shots on goal.
  2. If it uses ink I think you'll find its a typewriter
  3. Thats true. tbf though, if this story had broken three months ago Cortese would have got a big kicking as well. I think what has changed is that people have slagged Cortese in the past without knowing the facts (half season tickets not being paid for; signing a 'crap' player in Guly and forcing Pardew to play him; sacking a great manager and appointing a **** one) and as result many are preapred to cut him some slack because none of us knows what happens behind the scenes.
  4. Personally, based on what I know about the situation, which is only that Matt was a great player for us, I would have given him 10 as well. But is there more to this story which would change your opinion and mine? yes probably imo. The club should set probably permanently aside a couple of executive boxes for free use by people who have rendered great service to the club in the past as a thankyou - and hopefully many of those who use it would to do a bit of ambassador work free of charge in return.
  5. I'm sure. CB Fry, you and Dune are in an elite and exclusive club.
  6. The problem is that no-one actually knows what happened - its just a report in the Star.
  7. CB Fry likes to imagine himself as uniquely gifted, able to step outside the crowd see and see things clearly. He needs to conjure up an imaginary tide of opinion to fight against and earn his self awarded messianic status. Shame really. Funny though.
  8. Says AOC's younger bro is good too. Have we got him at Saints also?
  9. Ken Clarke was arguably the best post war Chancellor. He was also an excellent health minister, showing a real depth of understanding of his brief. No-one has said that the product of Eton and Westminster school shouldnt be MPs, but to have half the cabinet made up from such a small incestuous group is unhealthy.
  10. He was fantastic once his injuries were sorted out, especially when he came back from loan about two thirds of the way through the season. But by that time the goons were on his back and he was always going to be barracked no matter what. Almost happened to Guly too.
  11. Im not sure thats true. Being likeable, or at least 'normal' is an important part of a politicians appeal. As long as the ability and competence is there, Id much rather have a Ken Clarke, David Davis, Allan Johnson or Paddy Ashdown than a John Redwood or Ed Balls.
  12. Also we dont know whether Matt was planning to go himself, or just get some tickets for mates.
  13. Front bottom, back bottom, tub of Ponds face cream, its all much the same to me.
  14. Liquid and Dan have you guys thought about this scheme? Basically an interest free loan for 5 years and low thereafter in exchange fo part the equity - but you can buy out the social lender anytime you get extra money. I did it when I separated and needed a three bed house on one income. http://www.homesinhants.co.uk/
  15. About 5 years ago I was temping doing the recruitment for British Gas customer service staff. Struck me at the time as an odd thing to do, not even select and recruit your own staff. It was obvious the training was poor and the staff turnover high. Interesting to hear how that worked out....
  16. Its the real world for a sizeable proportion of the population, and they are the ones poorly represented by the current crop of MPs in general and ministers in particular. MPs should be representative of the population as a whole, not a small self perpetuating clique. 2020 is right, Alan Johnson had a lot of ability and was a rare animal in politics today. Its a shame he has gone.
  17. Unfortunately one fewer than his appointments
  18. And I'm sure he would have got them if he had. Matt should have kept schtum away from the papers and sorted it out privately.
  19. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/staticFiles/c2/37/0,,10280~145346,00.pdf Just the blocks, not individual seats unfortunately
  20. No its not specific to the thread. Its your very being, your snide, repetitive, negative, belittlng, poisonous essence which sucks life, humour and joie d'vivre out of the very oxygen in the air that I find tedious.
  21. I have no concern for you, just the tedium you spread.
  22. So instead of asking your Solent aquaintance who gets you the tickets every time when the next one is, you post three threads over several months. Do this terribly good friend not have a phone?
  23. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/content.php?131-lambert-lauds-guly-deal
  24. Thanks Christ for that
  25. Joke or serious? I can't tell. It appears to be serious, but it makes me laugh, so I'm not sure.
