Well in the first year he is only going to be 'expected' and 'pressured' to achieve promotion to the championship -which he has achieved twice before with less resource. It shouldnt present any special or new difficulties. Sure promotion to the premiership is a new ball game - but if he doesnt look up to it, and I think he would be, i'm sure hed be ditched for someone who was quite quickly.

Hes got the stature to find and attract players that can get promoted to the championship, depsite having zero money. More than we achieved with a big wad of cash.

Adkins is the best of all the names floated imo, apart from MoN which was never likely anyway. Still think WGS is a good outside bet though.

Lavery's bar is great for atmosphere with three diffrent bars, pool, music etc. The Crown is pretty and well worth a visit but you wouldnt necessarily want to spend a whole night there. The Felon's bar on Andersontown road used to be a republican drinking club (still is upstairs). Open bus top tour of troubles sites is good. Out of town Portrush and Newcastle are worth a visit if you have a car - and tour the Bushmills Distillery. Also miles of empty unspoilt beaches north of Belfast. Im not knocking him (or you) I just think two people can be in the same building and see (or not see) different things. I worked in the grand hotel in Brighton when I was student. Delivered room service to be met at the door by the home secretary. No-one I spoke to knew he was there.

And anyway its different in England.
