tbf I think his chairman has sold his two top scorers in successive seasons - and no-one brought in this close season gone.

Came into work late in central London. Somebody said a plane had flown into the WTC - but I imagined a light Cessna or something similar. Couldnt imagine what all the fuss was about. When somebody set up a tv in the office and I saw the pictures - totally dumbstruck. One girl in particular was in tears because shed been in Windows on the World a few days earlier.

Dean Wilkins is a good coach and manager, underrated. Wouldnt give it to him full time, but has a lot to offer. If the players are up for it, its down to him.

Of course there is. The local media is desperate for a story but One side is saying very little, the other is saying nothing at all. What you read is guesses jazzed up and woven into a story. Different reporters make different suppositions.

A number of people on the Scunny site were commenting on Pardew getting £500,000pa and how that would more than triple Adkins wage. Also the Times said the average players wage at Scunny was £3,000pa. All speculation, but seems a reasonable guesstimate.

Sure Adkins would need agreement from Cortese to pick up the tab, but I guess it would be more like £150,000. Better to pay £150,000 and get him now rather than pay £3m or wait 12 months!

Yes I think so, but essentially Wharton is saying "give me £3m or I'll make Adkins work out his twelve months notice" knowing (or gambling) that he will keep to his promise to not resign. Id just say bugger that and go.

Not yet. But if he isnt in place to take training on Monday, I agree. Prolonging it is in neither clubs interests - and I blame Scunny's Chairman for that, not him or Saints.

Nice, naive Nige has got a job with a bigger, nastier club, good for him (although I don't think it will be good for him) You cannot work for 2 masters, one or the other. Nige lives in a fluffy world where he thinks everyone shares his views. He will very soon be introduced to reality.
