  1. You reckon 54% voting for Pinnacle against ML was a good call then?
  2. Erm. You do know that the US is the biggest debtor in the history of the world? The US is facing an even more uncertain future than the UK and the EU.
  3. Hes tubby with gammy eyes and had girlfriend difficulties. That rings a bell.
  4. I cant see mass manufacturing ever returning to the UK. We simply cant compete with China and other developing nations on costs. The UK has retreated into high tech / skills, capital intensive industries for overseas earnings - investment banking, insurance, areonautics, pharmaceuticals and IT and a few niches like Formula 1. Give it 20 years and Chinese univesities will provide the skills necessary to take those from us too. I can see only two options - either we are royally ****ed, or global free trade will break down and the world will retreat into trading blocks, imposing high tariffs on imported goods.
  5. The 58% have some explaining to do.
  6. 30% of GDP in the South East comes from financial services (no I dont work in that sector)
  7. Good plan. Keep us updated.
  8. You could use a process of elimination. For a start, hes not here.
  9. I think I read about that in the Mail. Parole is a wonderful thing.
  10. Do people still dance on the tables on a Friday night in the Frog and Frigate?
  11. Why don't you invite him back to share it?
  12. lol. Passes for a pretty normal night around Norfolk Square
  13. My worst /best. After a night out in Brighton came back to my car, an old Alfa with dodgy locks. When I got there this girl, pretty attractive, had the passenger door open and was rifling through the glovebox. I caught her, checked the car and discovered the tax disc was missing. Got it back from her and told her I was going to call the police. She got really upset and started crying, begging me not to call them. I felt sorry for her and, bizzarely, we ended up at the pub next door with me buying her a drink to calm her down. It was pretty clear she was on something /a junkie but really pretty in a slightly scanky way and was good company. We ended up spending a couple of hours in the pub, she had a few drinks and asked me for a lift home. When we got there she asked me in but I didnt fancy staying at a junkies pad on an estate on the outskirts of Brighton. So we did the only decent thing possible and ****ged in the car. Afterwards spent weeks worrying about what Id done and got tested for everything going. All clear fortunately.
  14. All true stories here, whether thery happened to you or not. First off Ryan O'Neal trying to score with his daughter Tatum at his girlfriend's (Farrah Fawcett) funeral. "It’s not difficult to bring dignity to a funeral. All you need to do is keep quiet, look sad and, for the love of god, don’t fail to recognise your estranged daughter to the extent that you start chatting her up when she tries to reintroduce herself into your life. Not if she once won an Oscar for a film she starred in with you. Not at your own girlfriend’s funeral. It’s a creepy story, yes, but remember that it took place during a funeral, so emotions were obviously running high at the time, and that may have clouded Ryan O’Neal’s judgement slightly. And it’s also sort of sweet – maybe Ryan O’Neal was just demonstrating a residual fondness for his estranged daughter in a way that momentarily made sense to his grief-stricken mind. Oh what the hell, we’ll go with that. Yes, this is definitely the sweetest story we’ve ever heard about a man who once fired a gun at his own son trying to have sex with his crack addict daughter at the funeral of his girlfriend who’d just died of bum cancer." http://www.hecklerspray.com/ryan-oneal-hits-on-daughter-at-girlfriends-funeral-the-cad/200938072.php
  15. Thanks a lot. Hope you've enjoyed the ride so far.
  16. That is a seriously nice car. Way better value than £15,000 for a 15 year old E series Merc convertible imo. Would be almost criminal to have my kids trash the interior with pens and assorted spilt liquids.
  17. Not any more.
  18. Really? Did you mean they would do it for just over double? £5 per head per year for Saintsweb to talk about football or £35m pa for all of Customs and Revenue services for 60million people - 60p per head.
  19. I liked this comment on the PN story. " So how much of the £15m have the Dream Team of Andronikou, Storrie and Lampitt raised so far after working all summer and travelling across Europe? About £165k as compensation for Sowah. Only another £14,835,000 to go".
  20. Exactly. When he's proven himself in the prem, after a couple of years, I think he could be the home grown England manger we need. Capello has proven to be a failure and Widdrington would bring the fire back.
  21. Yes. He even started a thread to demonstrate how important individual taste is. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23660-The-equipment-of-a-c***&p=774053#post774053
  22. Enterprise are very good and cheap - global company owned by their employees. Used them many times. VW Passat 28 days Aug 2-28 £652. They come and pick you up as well. http://www.enterprise.co.uk
  23. Two really nice examples. I like them, but baulk at bit at paying £15,000 for a 15 year old car, even as an appreciating classic. I know these dont have the same class but which would you go for - given the Chrysler is simialr size to the me but is practically brand new. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201025361944283/sort/priceasc/usedcars/body-type/convertible/model/sebring/make/chrysler/postcode/bn68qb/radius/1501/page/1?logcode=prc http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201012355551122/sort/priceasc/usedcars/body-type/convertible/model/sebring/make/chrysler/page/1/postcode/bn68qb/radius/1501?logcode=p
  24. In principal I agree with you. In this case I find it impossible to understand how anyone can think allowing a five year old to ride to school through London traffic is a properly informed decision. Its a pretty hairy experience for most adults.
  25. It must be pretty unplesant being you. Pretty much everything is a lie and everyone who disagrees with you is stupid. Maybe, just maybe, Fry was telling the truth, £500k was needed to keep the club alive whilst ML did his due diligence.
