  1. Best to you and your dad.
  2. +1. Disagree that he is only good enough for Lg1 though. IF he finally get fully fit he is easily good enough for the Championship.
  3. Got a mate who works from home. The only way he can do it is to get up at 8am, put on a suit and tie and go into his spare room office, come out at 12.30, make lunch, back to work at 1pm till 5pm. If he dosnt put on the suit or start on the dead of 9am is curtains and he ends up watching Oprah all day.
  4. This is quite funny. Islamic relevance about 2:30 mins in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adoxd6wgUOk
  5. Its not a fundamental pillar of their religion. Muslin dress varies from country to country. Many muslims wear ordinary clothes.
  6. I work from home three days a week. Same problem as you. Takes me 12 hours to get 8 hours work done. This site doesnt help.
  7. You and Stu fallen out?
  8. I sense this thread isnt really to your taste Kadeem.
  9. I rate Lee Holmes as well. Terrible injury record though, which is the one thing which has held him back.
  10. http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor.law Good post Trousers. Echoes my thoughts, unlike the some of the posters here who pretend they have never done anything unwise in the heat of the moment. FWIW I think if I was her I'd resign now, if she hasnt already, before any disciplinary hearing takes place - or if she is called to one, claim illness to avoid attending until her contract expires. Also it would be money well spent getting an hours specialist advice. If you cant get it from the union then pay a lawyer who specialises in employment law, NOT a local general practice solicitor (make sure you get the partner who specialises in employment - not a trainee or assistant).
  11. Why should they move to Notting Hill because they didnt like Brent. They have no long term connections there. There is a big difference between treating people decently and removing the incentive to work.
  12. Amongst all the Dune bashing, the point that its ludicrous for a family on benefits to be housed in a property that 99% of the working population couldnt afford and could only dream of seems to have been lost. Can anyone defend paying out £96,000pa on housing benefit, let alone other benefits to one family? To get £96,000pa by the way you need 25 working people on £26,000pa paying income tax.

  14. Thanks for the insight. I thought that was just a web ad. I had no idea Saints owned American Express and British Airways. As always your posts add so much light.
  15. Im not slagging VW/ Audi, BMW or Mercedes off. Most of them are very good cars, especally the larger Audis, BMWs and Mercs. A2 /3 Audi, 3 series BMW and C class mercedes are not imo. If a manufacturer has the best car for you, of course go for it. My point is that a lot of posters / buyers have bought into the idea that German cars are the only ones worth having - that French cars have crap electrics, Italians rust, Japanese are boring, Korean are crap. Its that mantra I find ridiculous.
  16. Hes on Virgin mobile.
  17. Its not just me who finds the lack of indivdual thought processes scary then? So many Brits have bought into the marketing created idea that German cars are some how 'prestige' and better engineered than others and that to be taken seriously its has to be in silver, or possibly boy racer black. In most cases the Audis /VW, BMWs and Mercedes arent even best in class, let alone class leading and desrving of a price premium.
  18. Its pretty clearly a signal to Pulis that he isnt going to have any role in the first team and that he should feck off.
  19. Thats what Im suggesting, having a taxation system based on the amount you use services. Families of four would pay four times as much a single billionaire, plus the billionaire would get a discount for having private healthcare.
  20. Perhaps we should have an entirely flat taxation structure then Wes. Everybody should pay the same amount of tax regardless of income. In fact better still we could tax the poor more, because they are more likely to use state education, benefits and the NHS. Billionaires could pay say £5,000pa because they create wealth and dont use many services, whilst poor people should pay £10,000pa. Anyone who cant or wont pay should be jailed - except the billionaires, who have good accountants.
  21. Im pretty sure they fill it with air rather than hydrogen tbf.
  22. . Yep its not just Detroit. Companies like IBM, AIG, General Electric, Kodak, Goodyear, Lockheed are also a fraction of their former size, or are foreign owned. ,
  23. Traditionally the US consumer has always primarily bought US made goods; US banks had very little competition in investment banking; and they made a lot of money from the fact that the US $ was the worlds reserve currency. All of those things are starting to change. 20 years ago more than half the largest companies in the world were American, now its around 20% and falling. Drive through large parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Ohio and its just a parade of rusting closed factories. Regards policies, they havent really reacted yet, they've just carried on wirth a massive trade deficit, and the world has let them do it. Sometime soon they are going to realise they have a huge problem.
