I didnt believe for a second that the FL called a meeting for the 2nd August, peak holiday time, and 71 Chairmen turned up but NC was the only one who didnt. In fact £50 to a charity to anyone who can demonstrate this.

Or just possibly AP was under pressure from Cortese to deliver on the objectives AP had agreed, but failed to achieve and it was AP who told Wally he thought his job might be at risk - you know like most people in the country who dont deliver on their annual objectives and all these rumours is just more ****ing in the wind.

And how would Wally Downes know that Cortese was going to sack NP but backed off because of fan pressure? Does anyone seriously think NC had a quiet word in his ear "psst dont tell anyone, but Im going to sack your boss, you know the man who appointed you - unless of course the fans kick up" .

Doesnt Pulis' contract run out at the end of August? tbh I've never seen him play, but he has had a few runouts this summer. Is that because AP is going to keep him on, or to give him a chance to show somebody, somewhere that he could do a job at another club?

I posted something months ago along the lines that AA's actions could only be explained by someone having deposited enough money in an overseas account for him that he neednt worry about burning his bridges and never being able to work in insolvency in the UK again. Somebody made a mistake and business was full. Unfortunate but hardly a 'horrible thing to do'. As it happens I flew economy with Air NZ to Los Angeles a few weeks ago - probably the best economy Ive used.
