  1. Really? wow.
  2. As long as he takes him from here on transfer, that would be perfect.
  3. Curbishley was good , but has been out of management for two years and turned down other jobs. Reckon his fire has gone and prefers the tv studio to rainy training grounds in November.
  4. which seven?
  5. Ive never heard the watch story, only indirect references to it. What happened?
  6. If I was Cortese and knew ML was dying, I'd lie to him and say everything at the club was great, I wouldnt go to him to sanction sacking the manager.
  7. Agree totally with this.
  8. Impressive, but not quite as overpriced and pointless as this. http://www.madeindesign.co.uk/prod-Porsche-Design-Grill-Grand-Hall-refxseries.html
  9. I know somebody who was on that Eurostar, and shes still complaining about it now, no joke, unfortunately.
  10. http://www.skysports.com/story/0%2C%2C12876_6334898%2C00%2Ben-USS_01DBC.html
  11. In that pic he looks like a charge nurse taking the other three on a pre release day in the community trip
  12. I love the fact that on his biog for the station he list his first career highlight as playing for the Saints, above winning the world cup! http://www.supersport.com/feature.aspx?Id=46
  13. I had to google EDL and UAF to find out who they were. Either I live under a stone, or they're pretty small groups without any real influence or pull amongst the general population.
  14. Depends where you go. A lot of people in mid western states were still speaking German, Swedish and Dutch as a first language up till the 1930s. People on the Eastern shore (a relativelty inaccessible part of Delaware speak a with strange accent which is supposed to be close to English of 200 years ago.
  15. Nice job Dune. I've got a 1967 Hacker transistor. Has got FM (VHF) and the sound quality puts modern radios to shame.
  16. Beats me why anyone would think 43c is good. I'm in Spain, its 33c and way too hot. About 24-25 is ideal imo.
  17. I've got no views on closing the thread, although I can see why it was done. To add my tuppence worth to the issue. My ex had often blown up at me, including threatening me with a knife. Always in private and I never responded. One day she laid into to me outside of my house in front of the kids. I just blocked her punches. The next door neighbours told her to stop (not unreasonably) to which she proceeded to threaten them. They then called the police. Tbh it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Previously she had been a total nightmare over care of the kids. One successful prosecution for assault and threatening behaviour later (despite her brief trying to claim me holding her arms to stop her punches was me assaulting her) has meant she is totally changed over access and care. She wouldn't have a leg to stand on in a custody case. If I had hit her back, I'm damn sure it would have been me in the dock and her with sole care.
  18. I found that in Derby. Worked with a 17 year old who had only ever been out of Derby twice, both times to Skegness, and couldnt find London on a map. Happy though. Maybe broad horizons arent all they're cracked up to be.
  19. Could do a lot worse than a day at Butlins at Bognor. I know its cheesepie reputation but its got a really good pool with 5 slides, free fairground and shows during the day and evening. About £24 for a day pass for one adult two kids. My 7 and 5 year old love it
  20. I work for an American based organisation with no UK presence. I could easily pay my wages into a Cayman Islands bank account and evade tax. Alternatively I could do what Green does and set myself up as a limited company with my partner as a co-director, and she take my earnings as company dividends, taxed at 0% by Monaco. Its not difficult, you dont need a smart accountant, its just not right.
  21. There are a number of sites that will search scrap yards for the part you need - the yard will then contact you direct. This is one of the biger ones http://www.1stchoice.co.uk/
  22. As you well know you dont need an endless supply. If I needed a polycotton quilt cover tomorrow and BHS was shut im pretty sure Next, M&S, Tescos, Roseberry's etc etc could oblige.
  23. And since the majority of British entrepreneurs pay the taxes due, it would be unfair on them to not clamp down on tax evasion and thereby place an even heavier burden on them?
