  1. Must have watched a different game to me then.
  2. I dont why people booed - weird. I guess some people only see the result not the effort or performance and take no account of luck.
  3. Not saying we should sign him, he failed a trial at a Swiss club too, just amazed how little US soccer pays players
  4. I thought that was a wind up at first, assumed LA Galaxy must pay massive salaries and Saints could nver compete. Amazed to discover average MLS wage is around $100,000pa (£1,400pw). http://www.caughtoffside.com/2010/03/13/mls-set-to-strike-over-pay-new-season-and-american-soccer-as-a-whole-could-be-shelved/
  5. Pretty good overall, just lacked a sharp enough cutting edge, and he'll be back Tuesday. .
  6. Never realised just how small Dagenham and Redbridge's budgets must be and what a stonking achievement getting them promoted was. "If the Daggers can stay up it'll be some story – manager John Still worked wonders in getting them up. If he can keep them there – this a club whose attendances rarely get above 2,000 – he'll deserve a statue".
  7. strike
  8. My guess too. He'll be looking at a 20 year old with potential to develop imo.
  9. The nearly could have had Portsmouth.
  10. My ex had a Renault Clio with P911 REV on it. Ideal for a Porsche 911 boy racer owner. Dozy bint couldnt be arsed to find out how to transfer and sold the car with plate for £300.
  11. lol. Perhaps you would care to rank him in order with Askham, Lowe, Wilde and Crouch. Then you could go wider and add in Ken Bates, Abramovich and Ridsdale and 100 other football club chairmen who we dont know about, but local fans will tell you are "one of the most egotistical and arrogant men in football".
  12. Been to a lot of boring weddings at country house hotels where for some reason the bride and groom think its a good idea to have everyone dressed up in funny hats and tails. Huge cost for so so food and wine. One of the best was a ceremony at Brighton Pavilion, followed by a reception above a pub in two function rooms - a quiet chatting room and a music / dance room. A buffet from the local Indian and the groom playing with his friends in a really really good R&B band. The asked for no wedding gifts, but for everyone to chip in to the cost of the event. With about 70 people there they made over a £1,000 profit on the night - which largely paid for the honeymoon. Oh and everyone had a cracking time.
  13. I can see no reason why the club should let agency photographers in free of charge, who then make a very nice living selling their pics to the papers. It doesnt happen in theatres, concerts or any other kind of show. Why shouldnt the club make the money in-house?
  14. Seymour
  15. You think its cheaper to send a staff photographer from Plymouth to take pics, or cheaper to buy them from the club?
  16. Ive always wanted to smoke one, but have never been sure how to avoid the 'looking like a old git' issue. Still only a few more years to go now.
  17. Free the Hardison 1. The Muppet show is too small a stage for a talent such as he.
  18. The Government have got to change the law now to get rid of the football creditors rule.
  19. Frankie Howerd lives!
  20. Judge is trying to find his black cap.
  21. That will have reduced PFC's tax liability a bit then.
  22. terrorism
  23. Has happened last two days at least. All the Summer the main board has been like a car crash involving your family, whereas the lounge has been watching a car crash involving Poopey. Big difference!
