Been to a lot of boring weddings at country house hotels where for some reason the bride and groom think its a good idea to have everyone dressed up in funny hats and tails. Huge cost for so so food and wine. One of the best was a ceremony at Brighton Pavilion, followed by a reception above a pub in two function rooms - a quiet chatting room and a music / dance room. A buffet from the local Indian and the groom playing with his friends in a really really good R&B band. The asked for no wedding gifts, but for everyone to chip in to the cost of the event. With about 70 people there they made over a £1,000 profit on the night - which largely paid for the honeymoon. Oh and everyone had a cracking time.

I can see no reason why the club should let agency photographers in free of charge, who then make a very nice living selling their pics to the papers. It doesnt happen in theatres, concerts or any other kind of show. Why shouldnt the club make the money in-house?
