  1. The only reason they still exist is because Sky's parachute money kept them afloat over the last 5 years. # Pompey fan selective memory klaxon #
  2. Whatever Burnley have said previously, there is always a price that they would sell at. Hull City didn't want to sell Shane Long but "received an offer they couldn't refuse". Not saying it'll happen, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

  4. Yep, this. (Tadic on the bench for me). Would like to see McQueen given some game time too.
  5. Daily Star in headline failure.... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/421866/Jay-Rodriguez-transfer-latest
  6. Can always rely on this thread to cheer us up after a naff Saints result. Pompey. The tinpot gift that keeps giving.
  7. 'Arsehole of tha Day' award to Joe Ward for blowing kisses to the Northam End after crocking Long.
  8. Just back from the game. We gave as good as we got in the first 10 minutes then went into "cup mode"...i.e. we took our foot off the gas whereas Palace looked threatening with every attack. It's game like this that remind us how much we miss Wanyama and Schneiderlin - without them we stand off attackers and constantly lose the midfield battles. That said, Long came on and we started to threaten. I feel we'd have got a result if he hadn't got injured. Haven't seen any post match reports yet so not sure what the injury was but my initial reaction was a cracked rib (?) Davis had an off day (too many stray passes) and Tadic was largely ineffectual and seemed disinterested at times. Too many of our through balls into the final 3rd kept finding one of their defenders rather than one of our strikers ( until Long came on). Elia probably our best player although didn't create much - it was "one of those games" all round. Crazy results elsewhere. And Spurs and Pompey lost..... every cloud.....
  9. Hey, get your own catchphrase! Whatever next? Posting stills from Hollywood fantasy comedy movies?

  14. I think we should use The Guardian as our benchmark for what is acceptable material for a "family newspaper"... http://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2015/jan/22/-sp-penis-flashing-at-rick-owens-menswear-show

  16. But if its as harmful as some people say it is, why not go down the banning route? Seems logical to me.
  17. Define "decent"... I can't think of a 'decent' reason for the existence of the universe but I quite like the fact that its here. #poor analogy klaxon#
  18. Fair points
  19. They'll only do that when it doesn't sell newspapers, which brings me back to my question: how many people have to find this sort of thing anything other than harmless for public opinion to start swaying the editor of The Sun (and The Daily Star)? Some people see it as harmless, you and others don't. Who decides who's right and who's wrong....?

  22. http://order-order.com/2015/01/22/breaking-greens-invited-to-tv-debates/ I understand why the Greens should be involved (they're a UK wide party) but where's the logic in also including the SNP and Plaid Cymru when the majority of the TV audience won't be able to vote for them?
