So, the Daily Star publish a "Man Utd want Lallana" back page story on 25th December followed by a Daily Mirror "Lallana's Reaction to Man Utd Interest" story a few days later....except that they are using quotes first published on 8th December...? It's a funny old game....

Congratulations. Slightly surprised that they managed to squeeze in a wedding between two games that are only 4 days apart though.

Depends. With games coming thick and fast, playing someone at 80% might mean they aren't 100% for the next game. I guess its debate able whether playing Shaw at 80% for two games in the trot is better than resting him for one game then having him at nearer 100% for the 2nd game. Without knowing the precise nature of his illness it's difficult to judge from the confines of an internet football forum.

There's a difference between being physically able to play and it being sensible to do so if under the weather with a throat infection. IMO of course.
