Rhetorical question...?
-
Ah, ok, fair enough. Cheers π

Cheers for the summary as always @AlexLaw76 π Was he asked a specific question about Stuart Armstrong's situation or did he come up with these statements on him 'out of the blue'? I don't recall seeing/hearing any specific speculation about SA leading up to this window, so slightly surprised it cropped up in today's press conference... Smoke? Fire...?

That's socialism for you.... #levellingdown

Yep, this. It's just bizarre that they ever thought they'd get away with it...

Yep, I've never worked on a major IT project where that QA feedback culture wouldn't be the norm. Sure, third partiy suppliers are always protective of their software/services by default, but not to the point of covering up significant issues. It's simply not in their interest to do so as the truth will always come to the surface in the end (in my experience)

That's a good idea. Food for thought. Cheers π

Yeah, we've had cats for over 30 years now (not the same ones I hasten to add!) and I've never taken out insurance before with that very same logic in mind. However, a couple of years ago I had to fork out over Β£10k (!) for one of our cats and this has freaked me out somewhat! That said, I did work out that we would have spent around Β£10k in insurance over that 30+ years so, as you say, it probably evens itself out in the end but I'd rather pay that Β£10k over 30 years than in one lump sum!

I've not watched the programme yet but having spent 38 years (and counting!) in the banking/retail IT sector, weren't the Post Office reliant on what they were being told by Fujitsu? That doesn't excuse them from not red flagging what they were being told of course (I've never worked for either btw)

Calling all Saintsweb animal lovers (no, not in that way you filthy minded individuals)... Any recommendations for pet insurance companies that you've used / are using? Any that you wouldn't recommend? Looking to insure a couple of young cats. πΊπΎ

I've just checked and there's actually a warning on the ticket purchase screen staying that the date of the Hull game is "conditional on our progress in the FA Cup", so I guess I'm banged to rights. Will endeavour to sweet talk them when the time comes though. Can't see them not falling for my abundant wit and charm...

Ah, bugger chops... I hadn't appreciated that when I recently purchased a couple of tickets for the Hull game and it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to make the rearranged midweek fixture! Cock a doodle doo. Come on Walsall and Birmingham!! P.s. what are the chances of the club allowing me to swap for the FA Cup 4th round game if we get a home tie...? Would require them to be too customer focused I guess....

Fixed it for you #cheats

It's almost as if confirmation-bias exists on both sides of any debate...

He may not have meant the initial contact but, to me, it's clear that he intentionally leaves his foot planted into Edozie's ankle longer than would naturally be the case. I'm therefore convinced the conscious actions of the player during the course of the incident made the injury worse than it might otherwise have been. Happy to disagree of course

I do get that logic, and it's a fair point. I guess the flip side of the coin is that there's a case for giving the 2nd keeper game time in a match that isn't 'mission critical' so that if/when he's called upon during the league campaign then he at least has some experience of playing with the first team rather than coming in completely 'cold'. Not a massive benefit, granted, but I don't think it's quite "no-brainer" territory. (IMHO of course)
-
Yep, agree; it was clearly intentional.

That may have been more down to "anything's better" desperation given Sport Republic's previous two genius appointments...
